This is the only closest hotel/hostel to Abisko National Park (others are in Abisko ostra). So all dining and shopping can only be found here. Nearest supermarket required 30mins walk. Rooms are clean and you may be able to catch the Northern Light warmly in your room. Most staffs are nice and helpful except one in reception. Breakfast and lunch served in buffet style but not much choice during lunch. Dinner is in fine-dining a-la-carte so price are relatively high.

The tourist station is conveniently located in Abisko national Park. It has its own train station and it's just a five minute walk away. The rooms were large and spacious with plenty of storage, a kettle, coffee and tea in the room, great views of the park and a very large bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and provided lots of vegan options! We enjoyed our stay very much.

Abisko stf is very clean, walking distance from train station. Various hiking trails are also easily accessible from here. View is very nice. Staff is very hepful.

Room clean though it’s a shower room=flooded floor. Wish I had know about the placement of rooms would’ve upgraded to one with view over lake rather than other buildings. Tons of places to sit and view scenery … with power points. Several hikes around fr 1 km to 200 kms. Peaceful midrange accommodation - price reflects this. 5 min walk fr train station.

Cozy room and super comfortable bed. Convenient to have the restaurant on site. Plenty of spots to sit and relax inside, and plenty of options for tours and activities. Information centre was closed during the stay, but still able to access information to be able to self navigate. Lots of tracks and points of interest to explore nearby that are well marked. Abisko Turistation will forever hold a special place in our hearts We arrived by train which is directly across the road from the turistation. They offer special trolleys for bags at the station for those bringing large bags The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet exceeded expectations with delicious warm options We also got the lunch pack because we did a big hike that day. 100% recommend because it was excellent Our room was warm and cosy, clean and fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay The view was incredible We loved our stay

Outstanding location, expensive venue.

Let me start by saying this is an amazing location and well worth a visit. However, we stayed in a premium room, which was more expensive than our 4 star hotel in Kiruna, but nowhere near the same quality. Nevertheless, as everyone else has previously, we overlooked this due to the amazing location. We were unable to book in the restaurant for the three nights we were there and ate in the bistro once as the menu never changed burger, pizzas or salad. This venue is also far more expensive than other parts of Sweden.

Very comfortable hotel rooms, good value breakfast and dinner, really friendly and helpful staff, and wonderful vibe with all the hikers. Great base to explore the national park whether you are a seasoned trekker wanting to leave some luggage before a multiday hike or a family trip up the chairlift
