The space
Our home has a private patio, small yard and plunge pool. There is more space on the comfortably furnished, rooftop deck for relaxing with a cool beverage under the stars or your morning coffee while listening to the birds come to life. Inside you have a ceiling of skylights in the dining area that provides lots of natural light. The master suite has over-sized glass doors opening onto the patio, which makes coffee in bed a great option. For those occasional rainy days, there are 3 large screen TV's and plenty of game options, along with a guitar for those with skills and those without (those without might refrain from strumming outdoors. ;-) The easy entry first floor living area of our home makes it ideal for anyone with mobility issues
The neighborhood
TAO has a holistic center offering classes in, yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Zumba and Pilates, steam baths, 2 infinity pools, exercise pool, lap pool and gym. You can take part in a Temazcal Ceremony along with other rejuvenating treatments. There is a small snack bar offering healthy options, smoothies and a light breakfast. Because our home is located in the 5 star Bahia Principe Residential Community, you will also have access to the resort with the purchase of a day pass or individual passes for breakfast lunch and dinner. The resort is also home to a beautiful Robert Trent Jones II golf course and club house. All of these amenities are accessible without leaving the security of the gated community if you are not comfortable doing so. Staying with us gives you options. Spend the day in our private home relaxing on the patio or rooftop and cooling off in the plunge pool, spend the day relaxing at the resort or sample local eateries, sites and adventures around the area. The TAO Beach Club, which houses "Jungle Fish" is a great option and only a 10 minute drive. Spend the day here and enjoy the sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach along with the restaurant/bar and pool and have access to bathrooms and shower. Akumal bay with more dining and shopping options and great snorkeling, is a short walk down the beach from Jungle Fish. The Tulum ruins, town of Tulum and Tulum beach road, is just a 15 minute drive south. The beach road is a beautiful stretch of white sand beaches on the blue Caribbean sea, dotted with small eateries, shops and yoga studios with plenty of Bohemian vibe. The whole Riviera Maya is covered with magical cenotes of which you should make a priority to visit at least one. Floating through and exploring the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve is another great adventure not to be missed. Hire a tour guide for this adventure. Playa Del Carmen with every kind of shop and eatery imaginable is only a 30 minute drive north. From here you can hop on a ferry to Cozumel for a day trip. Travel inland 1 - 2 hours for more Mayan ruins and archaeological sites, which are still being discovered. Water parks, jungle adventures, atv rides, parasailing, windsurfing, ziplines, fishing, scuba, snorkeling, yoga classes, cooking classes, take your pick, our home is in the middle of it all, so come and be our guests and enjoy our place as much as we do.
