Very nice. Staff was very nice. Close to the park. Beautiful views. The view was one of my favorite on my vacation we visited the Rockies, The Great Sand Dunes and Mesa Verda. If I’d be in the area again, I would definitely stay here again.

Had a nice stay. Rooms were a mix of some upgrades and some stuff that needed a refresh. Very close to the park, and pretty area over all. Lodge could just use some love to fix up some of the items that are looking worn out.

Very close to Great Sand Dunes. Place was clean and they offered a grab and Go Breakfast. Beautiful scenery from the room and peaceful.

Spring Break Stop

The person at the desk very helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was simple and copious. The room was simple but comfortable and clean. The heating system was difficult to control and too close to one bed and it took us a while before we could get a comfortable temperature in the room.

Location location a Mile down the road from Great Sand Dunes NP. View from patio overlooked dunes and mountains. Big grab and go breakfast. Local motel not holiday or Hilton but worked great after a long day of travel and hiking.

I loved being right outside Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. It was the most convenient place for my needs, the breakfast options are as terrific as the staff. Every staff member I came across was friendly and welcoming. It was important to me to have a dog friendly spot, and they are. There's even a lovely cat on the premises, his name is Peppermint, and if you're an animal person, I hope you get to meet him.

This motel is very close to the sand dunes. Wonderful view from the room. There is a nice covered patio that opens to a large field. This was great for seeing the stars. We booked the deluxe king. It had 2 sofa beds. The room was a really nice size. I removed a star because the sofa pullout beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever experienced (and my expectations are really low on this front.) They were all springs. Even sitting on it for a short time hurt. So, I recommend packing toppers or a sleeping bag for the kids to place on top of the mattresses if you’ll be using the pullouts. The breakfast was great. Kids and hubby loved the waffles. They rent sand sleds which was super convenient. You have to pass the lodge on the way out of the park so it could not be more convenient. They even have several types of sleds to choose from. Overall, I loved the motel. You check yourself in and out on your phone which I appreciated. The park is only a short drive away.
