Beautiful views, but mixed experience overallThe house itself is lovelyâspacious, bright, and with truly stunning views. The bathrooms were modern and well-appointed, and the living area was comfortable with reverse cycle air conditioning. However, the bedrooms were very cold during our stay, as there were no heaters provided initially. I contacted Helen, and to her credit, she responded promptly and brought additional heaters.Cleanliness was mostly good, except in the kitchen. On arrival, the dishwasher was runningânot with dishes, but with the sponge, scourer, and cloth inside. Helen explained they were being sterilized, though I personally found this method wasteful and would prefer biodegradable replacements. Unfortunately, the cheese toastie maker was greasy and clearly hadnât been cleaned, and the kitchen drawers had visible dirt and stains.I reached out to Helen to flag these issues, mainly to ensure I wouldnât be charged for them. She came over, but her approach was unexpectedly confrontational and dismissive. When I pointed out the grime, she wiped it with her sleeve and insisted there was no dirt. She removed the dirty toastie maker and locked it away, but continued to downplay the other concerns. Her attitude felt intimidating, and I ended up agreeing not to pursue the matter further as long as no extra cleaning fees were applied.Overall, the property has great potential, but the kitchen hygiene and host interaction left me feeling uneasy.
