Our cottage is an outbuilding of our family home, a former presbytery on the edge of the village open to the countryside. Our cottage consists of two levels. On the ground floor, a living room kitchen with a sofa that can serve as a bed for one person and with a shaded terrace. We reach the upper floor with a staircase, it consists of a large bedroom, a bathroom with a sink and a shower, separate toilet, and a small room office library. Everything is totally independent of the rest of our house but our garden, open on the countryside, is accessible to you.

Perfect little cottage for 2

Sylvain and Katherine were ideal hosts who communicated well with us to ensure we arrived safely. They were PERFECT hosts who welcomed us, gave us lots of information, considerately stocked the kitchen with a welcome pack of groceries and invited us for drinks in their beautiful house and garden. The cottage is ideal for 2 or 3 people with a lovely balcony and use of a gorgeous garden. If you have mobility issues the spiral staircase needs to be considered. Our hosts introduced us to the perfect locations to visit and the best things to enjoy in the area. You MUST visit the river beach and Le Limau too.

Unique gite in wonderful location

This is an annexe that has the owners stamp on it and is all the better for it. As a bijou gite for 1 or 2 people it’s ideal. Albas is a fabulous location with easy access to the river, cycle routes and the vineyards. The whole area is utterly gorgeous! The sheltered terrace is lovely private space and you get a real sense of being part of the village. The walk behind the house up to the table d’orientation is well worth it, as is the red wine produced from the local vineyard. Sylvain the owner is a delight and made me feel very welcome, which as a solo traveller, was lovely.

What a wonderful place

We had a fantastic time in Albas. The village is beautiful and the apartment a wonderful retreat with everything you can ask for. The hosts are amazingly friendly and welcoming. They prepared the kitchen with drinks and food for us to to cook with the evening we arrived and we had milk and coffee for the next morning. We felt welcome and at home the moment we arrived. The apartment is stylish, clean and well equipped, it has its own little secluded terrace and access to a separate garden. There is a beach to go swimming in the river 5 minutes away with a stunning view overlooking the village up the hills. We will definitively come back!

A lovely character cottage beautifully restored

The cottage itself is lovely - very ancient and characterful but beautifully restored with a modern shower, wifi and all mod cons. All very clean and well presented. There is a pretty private terrace and also guests are welcome to sit or dine in other parts of the garden. But just as important for me was the welcome from the hosts. They live next door and are on hand to assist but also respect the guests' privacy. They were very helpful and friendly. I would certainly recommend this little house for a single traveller or a couple and I should think I might go back again one day.

Je ne peux dire assez de bonnes choses de ce petit havre de paix caché dans les arbres. Dès mon arrivée Catherine et Sylvain ont fait tout pour m'acceuillir avec une générosité natural le et abondante .Je ne me sentais pas comme leur hote mais un membre de famille. La chambre d'hote est bien situéaux à coté de la rivière, les montagnes...on a une multitude d'activités à faire...les baignades, les randonnées... Un endroit exceptionnel. Je reviendrai sans question!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce logement. Le temps n'a pas été clément, puisque nous avons subi une terrible canicule durant la première semaine. La pièce du bas restait bien fraiche à condition de n'ouvrir fenêtre et volets que la nuit. La pièce du haut chauffait davantage (exposition au sud) mais les ventilateurs permettaient d'avoir suffisamment d'air pour dormir quand même. En revanche, difficile de profiter du jardin où, même à l'ombre, la chaleur était intenable durant ces premiers jours. Heureusement, il y a plusieurs sites de baignade dont l'un est accessible à pied, à environ 500 mètres. La seconde semaine a été beaucoup plus agréable et nous avons enfin pu visiter cette magnifique région dans des conditions plus propices. Le village est très joli et assez vivant. Nos hôtes ont été très sympathiques et très discrets. Une suggestion d'amélioration possible dans le gite : un réfrigérateur avec compartiment congélation un peu plus grand serait utile, surtout en période de fortes chaleurs. Pour le reste, l'équipement nous a donné toute satisfaction.

Déconnexion et repos

Nous avons passé 10 jours chez Sylvain et Catherine qui sont 2 personnes exceptionnelles et qui nous ont accueilli comme des amis. La maison est adorable, très bien aménagée, entourée de jardins, et la terrasse ombragée est un plaisir pour les repas et farniente. Nous retenons les petites attentions et les bons conseils de Catherine et Sylvain !

Belle découverte

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au calme et au vert. Le logement est très agréable et décoré avec goût. Catherine et Sylvain, nos hôtes, nous ont accueillis avec gentillesse et sont restés disponibles tout au long du séjour, tout en restant discrets. Nous avons pu profiter des conseils qu'ils nous ont donnés : restaurants, petites plages à proximité, marchés. Nous gardons un très bon souvenir de ce séjour grâce au logement et à nos hôtes si sympathiques. Ce fut une belle rencontre ! Enfin, nous avons découvert une région magnifique que nous ne connaissions pas. Nous n'avons qu'une envie c'est d'y retourner !

Très beau séjour !

Catherine et Sylvain sont des hôtes adorables, chaleureux, particulièrement attentionnés et disponibles, qui sauront vous donner de précieux conseils sur les activités à faire dans la région afin de profiter au mieux de votre séjour. La dépendance est très confortable, calme et silencieuse, très bien équipée, meublée et décorée avec beaucoup de goût, et l’on y dort à merveille (au frais même durant les journées chaudes et ensoleillées). Nous recommandons cet hébergement sans hésiter !

Beautiful guesthouse, great hosts

The accomondation looks very neat and is beautiful decorated. It was a great plaesure to stay in such a tasteful house in the beautiful village Albas. Sylvain and Catherine are great hosts, they are very friendly and helpful and gave us some unforgettable reccomendations for which places and restaurants to visit. We hope to come back some time!

Appartement avec décoration retro appréciée. Petite terrasse sympa . Douche fonctionnelle. Très bien placé dans un petit village médiéval au calme au bord du lot. Semaine à l’ombre !

Cadre agréable avec beaucoup de verdure, au calme. Un escalier intérieur en colimaçon. On a apprécié les repas sur la terrasse. Hôte sympathique , village simple mais agréable avec un jardin toscan très bien entretenu. La région est intéressante à visiter sans faire beaucoup de kilomètres. Seul bémol, le wifi ne donne pas accès à internet. Mais Sylvain y mettra bon ordre, j’en suis persuadé. Merci Sylvain.
