Our stay at this vacation rental was unfortunately not as comfortable as we had hoped. As the first guests of the season, we arrived to find the property quite cold and damp, which made settling in difficult.More concerning was that both the heating and hot water systems were not working upon arrival. This made the first part of our stay especially uncomfortable. To the owner’s credit, they were responsive and managed to get the hot water fixed within a few days, which we appreciated. However, the heating system was not repairable during our stay, and the property remained quite chilly throughout.While we understand that unexpected maintenance issues can happen—especially at the start of a season—this did have a significant impact on our overall experience. On the positive side of things, the owner was very understanding and offered us a fair financial compensation for our discomfort. Due to the great loaction to the beach & other amenties we decided to stay. I would recommend this property to VRBO renters looking for a large property for 8 people. We ere 8 adults and had lots of room. If not for the heating issue I would be giving this property a 4.5 rating.

Property is big and has everything you would need. Pool is brilliant with all day sun and not too overlooked. Having stayed at a few different villas around the Algarve this has definitely been the best one to date. The location was Excellent, everything is close by, 2 min walk to a well stocked supermarket, various bars and restaurant the same distance, 10 mins walk to a beautiful beech (worth a mention was bit of a hill and quite a few steps down onto the beech). Ubers were never more than 5 mins away if we wanted a change of scenery,15 mins to Albufeira old town. Couldn't fault anything we will be coming back again, great holiday.

The property does not look like the photos except for the pool. Location is quiet with good restaurants within short walking distance. However, property is tired and in need of a facelift at least by our standards. We noticed mold on some walls, blistered paint, dryer did not work very well and AC system worked in most rooms but not all.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit...aber

Wir waren im November mit 5 Erwachsenen in der Villa und es wĂ€re Platz fĂŒr mehr Personen gewesen. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Die Lage ist perfekt. 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu einem traumhaften Strand, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurant, Bar ist alles um die Ecke und zu Fuß zu erreichen. Nun kommt das ABER: Es gibt keine persönliche BegrĂŒĂŸung. Schön wĂ€re gewesen, wenn uns jemand die Klimaanlage gezeigt hĂ€tte. Die ersten Tage ging es ohne aber als das Wetter etwas schlechter wurde, habe ich stĂ€ndig gefroren. Im Sommer ist es sicherlich recht kĂŒhl im Haus. Im Winter ist es kalt. So richtig anschalten hĂ€tte ich die Klimaanlage nicht wollen. Die BelĂŒftungsgitter waren total verstaubt. Wer weiß, was da alles raus gekommen wĂ€re. Es lag ein Zettel mit der Telefonnummer des Ansprechpartners vor Ort da und das WLan Passwort. Ansonsten gab es keine ErklĂ€rung, wie der Fernseher geht, die Klimaanlage oder was es ansonsten in der Umgebung fĂŒr Empfehlungen gibt. Ich kenne das sonst so, dass es einen Ordner mit allen wichtigen Infos gibt. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Die BĂ€der sind alt und ein Duschvorhang hatte Schimmel, die AblĂ€ufe sind verrostet. Die KĂŒchenschrĂ€nke waren nicht gut gereinigt. Die SpĂŒlmaschine innen verrostet. Nur der KĂŒhlschrank ist wohl ganz neu. Die Außenanlage ist sehr schön aber ebenfalls ungepflegt. Auf mich wirkt das Haus lieblos. Mit wenig Geld könnte man hier schon viel bewirken. Man merkt, dass die Besitzer nicht vor Ort sind und GĂ€rtner und Reinigungspersonal nur das

Fantastic 12 days stay

Just back from a fantastic two week break - 8 adults. The villa is superb as is the location close to bars, restaurants and shops. A great beach about 500metres away makes for a change of scenery. The villa itself is very well equipped including large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, micro wave, washing machine, good outside seating area at the front over looking the pool and an additional area at the back off the kitchen with decent size BBQ. Interior is a little dated but to be honest we didn’t spend any time inside!!!! Can definitely recommend and will hopefully be returning.

Great stay at Jan’s villa

Jan’s villa was an excellent base for our trip and is highly recommended. The locations was extremely convenient with easy access to the beach, a shop, multiple restaurants. It was also easy to visit Albufeira and was close to the airport. The pool was warm and air conditioning was very efficient. The house was well appointed and very clean.

Roomy and airy

This was a great villa for our stay in late winter. I imagine it would be absolutely amazing in summer. Lots of space to hang out in small groups or dine together with the family or friends. The location is very nice. Seems to be a reasonably quiet area that is not far from more active boating/beach areas.

Nice house and location

My family stayed at Jan's house for 5 days after Christmas and we had a lovely time. The house is big enough for 7 people with a good size swimming pool but unfortunately the water was too cold whe we were there. The shops and the beach are just nearby which was a plus. The electric system might need updating as when we tried to use the hob and the kettle, the electric always tripped off. Will definitely come back again.

Away from the hustle & bustle

We had a great stay away from the hustle in Albufiera but not in a remote place - all the amenities we needed were on the door step. we could have a meal and a drink with out having to drive - Beach was only minutes away and not overcrowded. Villa was really lovely though we lived mainly around the lovely pool area! Central for all the larger resorts too!

Wunderbare Villa in einer wunderschönen Umgebung

Wir waren zu 6 in dieser wunderschönen Villa. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet mit en suite BĂ€der, so das jeder sein eigenes Bad hatte. Die Klimaanlage brauchte man nicht. Durch die GrĂ¶ĂŸe des Hauses und der schönen Bauweise , war es im Innenraum, Tag und Nacht immer angenehm. Die KĂŒche hatte alle Annehmlichkeiten die benötigt wurden. Schön war auch die Barbecue Ecke. Aber das Highlight war der große Pool , der regelmĂ€ĂŸig gereinigt wurde. Wir haben uns richtig zuhause gefĂŒhlt und hatten viel Spaß. LokalitĂ€ten und Supermarkt in unmittelbarer NĂ€he. FalĂ©sia ist ein richtig niedlicher Ort , mit liebenswerten und sehr hilfsbereiten Menschen. Die Kommunikation mit dem EigentĂŒmer lief reibungslos und sehr freundlich ab. Wir können diese superschönen Villa 100% weiterempfehlen.

Beautiful villa and highly recommend

This villa is in an excellent location, 45 minutes from Faro airport and with a small supermarket and some restaurants and bars with a couple of minutes walk. It's also 20 minutes in a car from Vilamoura and Albufeira old town, and roughly 15 minutes in a car to a large supermarket. The pool is fantastic and got sunlight for 12hrs of the day, and the outside BBQ area is also excellent. The property was clean and was a good size for our party of 8, and communication with the owner was easy, with quick responses. The WiFi was a little unreliable at times, so something to bear in mind, and some of the doors and floors also creaked quite a lot, which could be challenging with young children in the villa. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone

Villa Douro 2

I stumbled on the resort of Falesia which I’m so pleased I did. The area is beautiful with a very local feel to it. The villa was spacious and the pool an absolute dream where many a day was had lounging by it. The kitchen was a bit tired and would benefit from a refresh. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to Falesia.
