The Guest House Alexandria MN. Charming farmhouse with 4 bedrooms and WiFi, AC in delightful Alexandria. Replace the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a stay in our farmhouse-style home in the heart of the West Central lakes area. Our home is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort offering a base from which to launch year-round adventure, exploration, family visits, business ventures or to simply relax, restore and recharge.

ON SITE MANAGER lives in the third floor apartment and is always ready to assist you during your stay. The entrance is SHARED with the manager but interaction is minimal.

Our home is nestled into the countryside with virgin timber on 2 sides, providing natures sights and sounds from sunrise to sunset. With this as the background, we offer the use of a fire pit, nature walking areas, tetherball, a plethora of other outdoor games, as well as furnished deck with ramp.

Your rental includes a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, a spacious dining room and a cozy living room area with TV on the main floor. The TV has a fire stick and a DVD player. You can bring your own streaming device. Yes, groceries can be delivered ahead of time to make you stay stress-free. Whatever the purpose of your visit, the welcome mat is out, and we are already preparing for your visit.

Imagine being just a short drive of less than 10 miles away from several unique attractions, such as the two public beaches (Lake Le Homme Dieu and Rotary Beach), Geneva Golf Course, The Crooked Willow Event Center, Public lake access for Lake Geneva, Carlos Creek Winery, Legacy of the Lakes Museum, Shopping in downtown Alexandria and Osakis, and so much more! These attractions are nearby and easily accessible, making your stay more enjoyable.

We are a smoke-free home and maintain a clean, cozy, and welcoming ambiance with its charming farmhouse-style decor. Your stay at The Guest House Alexandria MN is funding the Titus II, Inc ministry and the future "Pathway through the Bible Park", currently in the initial planning stages.

NOTE: This is a farm home surrounded by farmland and woods. Bugs, small woodland animals, and natural elements are part of your experience.

Our stay was phenomenal. Table was big enough for us all to eat and play card on. Beds were comfy, bathrooms clean with plenty of towels. Kitchen was nice and big for us to sit at while others cooked. If there was one thing to pick on I would say the kitchen drawers and cabinets need a spring cleaning. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely stay again!

This home is charming and offers everything one might need. It was somewhat elusive to locate in the dark, so I would suggest leaving a light on for guests would make it easier; there's plenty of space for parking. There are stairs leading to the second floor where 3 of the bedrooms are located. Overall, the home is spacious and comfortable. Mary, the landlord lives on the 3rd floor but you wouldn't know it; the only contact we had with her was once as she was leaving; she shares the primary entrance to the home, but she is pleasant and nonintrusive. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. There is a TV set in the main area, but not sure what programming it offers. (I didn't see this mentioned in the ad, so perhaps this is something that would improve the listing.) Overall, this home was a welcome comfort after a long day on the lake and suited our needs perfectly.

Conveniently Located

We had a great time. It’s conveniently located right on the highway. All the activities we chose to do were easily accessible. The property owner (Mary) lives on the 3rd floor and she was very helpful and attentive. It was nice to have her available, and we’re happy to have met her. It is a large plot of land for children to play. Outdoor games are included with the rental (yard yatze, yard jenga, corn hole, tether ball, etc.). The mown part of the yard was plenty big for us.The inside was nice and clean. Very spacious for a family of 9. Indoor games are included (like monopoly). There is one TV in the living room (I initially thought that would be hard for me because I have a TV in my room at home, but it was a nice break to be able to lay in bed and read). Travel sizes of soap, toothpaste, lotion, shampoo are included in each bathroom - there were even complementary toothbrushes if we forgot ours. Dishes and lots of food staples are available. Suggestions: 1. The property is several acres. Having a mown path around some of it would give guests a path to take walks. 2. Upstairs hall lights are always on for safety reasons. It would be nice to be able to dim them because light leaks in around the edges of the bedroom doors. 3. To drown out noise from the highway, perhaps install some noise muffling curtains in the bedrooms (we used a white noise app, and it worked out perfectly, so not a big deal). We were very happy with the property and would stay again!

The house was well stocked, plenty of towels, paper products, soaps and anything else you would need kitchen wise (with the exception of a wine opener or wine glasses). It was mostly clean however when I looked up I noticed quite a bit of dust/cobwebs on higher up light fixtures and doorframes and there was a charging station in the living room that was covered in smudges. This might sound nitpicky but as someone who used to clean for a living I notice these things. The house was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. I believe it’s noted in the listing now and in other reviews but the owner lives on the third floor and uses the same entrance to come and go however we only saw her twice during our stay and weren’t bothered by it at all.My main issue with the listing accuracy is that it says things like “nestled in the woods” “tranquil farmhouse” that gives the impression that this house is tucked back in a quiet area and this is definitely not the case. It’s literally right next to a busy county road and most of our stay it was too noisy to enjoy time outside or even hear eachother talk. Also some of our guests said they could hear road noise from their bedrooms at night. One last note would be that there is overt Christian messaging and decor throughout the house. If this makes you uncomfortable I would skip it.

You barely need to pack

This place has literally everything you need. The guest house accommodated our large family comfortably and had all the cooking needs you could possibly think of. There were plenty of towels, beds, showers, pillows, extra blankets

House was comfortable and relaxing. It is a delightful old farm house - well updated with comfortable beds. It was closer than expected to a rather busy road. Needed to get use to the traffic noise. Location was convenient for visiting places in the area. Also enjoyed bird watching and some deer sightings.

Lovely house supplied with all kinds of extras.

We were all very impressed. The only thing that may concern renters is that the owner lives on site on the third floor. She was a wonderfully kind and generous woman, but that might be a put off for some people renting.
