Close to the airport

Good location close to the airport, taxi 1000DA or free hotel shuttle bus. Rooms ok, restaurant overpriced, chose to eat across the street (excellent meat) or in the nearby shopping mall (for example Taste of India). Taxi to the city center is recommended outside of rush hours.

Perfect stay

My stay at Mercure was exceptional. The staff made me feel right at home. I stay at this hotel every time I am in Algiers and are on a first name basis with a lot of the team. Sure there are some quirks that are typically dealt with immediately, but overall I have 0 complaints. I will certainly continue to make this my number one choice when I am staying in the area.

Needs better upkeep

It is a nice hotel but greater effort needs placed on maintenance. The room I was in had a quite wobbly table and one of the cupboard doors didn't close properly. There was a flashing light in the bathroom and the television remote didn't seem to work. The room also smelled of cigarettes despite being on a non smoking floor.

Always stay here...but always same issues... Too old... And staffs are fine, but usually do not really answer the phone for housekeeping...and once ask for bringing sth to my room, it takes more than 30mins. But still, price is just good enough and location is also fine.
