A beautiful detached villa Located in a peaceful, stunning, elevated location and superbly positioned just 800m from the golden sun-stretched beach of San Cristobal. You'll find a fantastic beach promenade with beachside tapas, bars, shops, and restaurants. The main town centre is just a 10 -15 min walk away, with traditional Spanish charm and character. Cobbled paths lead to the vibrant town square packed with Spanish tapas, bars, restaurants & shops, traditional fresh fish, and vegetable markets.
This spacious contemporary three-bedroom Villa is fully air-conditioned throughout and also offers a large rooftop terrace and a small covered balcony terrace and dining area. The interior boasts a relaxing open-plan lounge with modern furnishings. Leather corner sofa, TV & DVD. Music speakers and a wood burner fireplace. The fully fitted kitchen is well stocked with modern cooking facilities & a breakfast bar. Outside the kitchen area is a covered patio with a table and chairs and panoramic town views. External stairs lead to a fabulous sun rooftop terrace with exceptional views across the mountains and the historical town of Almunecar, a beautiful private floodlit pool with subtle low lighting for the relaxing evening, Andulcian brick style BBQ, hammock, dining area—& sun loungers.
The rooftop terrace is a wonderfully spacious area & a perfect place to spend lazy sunshine days with family or friends.
The house also offers a Secured entrance, including an operated gate & parking. area

Please note between June - and September - Check-in & Check-out are on Saturday only; therefore, we can only accept reservations for 7. 14, 21 & 28 nights during this period.

DESASTROSO. SUCIO. VIEJO. Una mala atenciĂłn en todo momento. No es lo que parece en las fotos. El mobiliario esta destrozado. La vieja casa sin cuidar, tiene una plaga de hormigas las cuales te pican en la cama y te duchas con ellas. UN HORROR. El lavavajillas da calambre, si enciendes el horno se va la luz... en fin, deberĂ­an quitarla de esta pagina hasta que la arreglen.

A brilliant holiday

A lovely property with plenty of internal and external space to relax and enjoy our holiday. Well equipped and grateful for the wine and water on arrival.Our daughter is working in MĂĄlaga so the location was ideal for her to join us at the weekend .Great local bus service to explore if required .Whilst there were no extra towels or bedding,these were changed by house keeping after our first week so not a problem. The WiFi not the strongest which was a slight problem with a teenager revising for mocks but could have been due to the storms. The host information book was excellent with plenty of restaurant recommendations. We tried most of them and found some of our own-all great..

Just perfect!

This is a lovely villa that flows well and has an amazing roof terrace with a good sized pool. The Villa is nicely decorated and very comfortable. The location is superb being so close to restaurants, shops and the beach. Sharron and her team are super responsive and helpful. We stayed for a month and loved every day! Can’t wait to go back!

Villa had all amenities required and as only 2 of us more than enough space. In excellent location with many restaurants nearby which we made full use of. Minor issues with hot water for us but it turned out to be more of a challenge for the plumbers. All resolved within a couple of days.

Fabulous holiday

We were a group of 4 adults who stayed at the villa for 2 weeks from the 20th August and was so impressed by the villa and location .The sun terrace was exactly as shown and the pool was a more than good size and the beds and pillows were of a high standard . An abundance of good quality restaurants were a 10 minute walk away and all reasonably priced .I would finally like to say the host Sharron went above and beyond to rectify a small issue we had with the hot water. We have already booked for next year . Thank you Sharron for sharing the villa with us .Sue,Lud,Gill and John.

Excellent - Superb Rooftop Pool

A great villa in general but the rooftop area is the stand out feature here. Distinct areas for sunbathing, relaxing, dining and of course swimming mean days easily pass by in a haze. A short walk to the beach and plenty of dining choices but given the villa is on a steep hill, the walk back up (especially in the sun) can be a bit of a challenge! We did have a couple of issues with power cuts / air con on the first night but Sharron responded immediately and issues were resolved with air con unit being replaced. Overall a great trip, host and experience. Highly recommended.

Overall a great villa

We had a very enjoyable stay at the villa. We did have to call the owner to get one of the air con units fixed, which was done fairly promptly. Also, we couldn't find the table tennis table as listed online. Apart from this the villa was extremely well equipped and we'd highly recommend it as a place to stay.

Beyond my expectations

The villa was everything that we wanted. The town of Almunecar was excellent and the overall holiday was superb. The roof top of the villa is outstanding and we spent the majority of our time outdoors. At the time of our visit it was incredibly hot and required air conditioning thro the night so beware in terms of which part of the year you travel. The villa is on a steep hill and we chose not to rent but as a relatively “fit” family that was ok for us. Local instructions in the booklet were very helpful and the local taxi company were first class. Overall a wonderful stay and thanks for being able to visit this great area.

Prachtige villa op centraal gelegen locatie

We stayed at this villa for 2 weeks and we really liked the rental and we understood we were probably the first people of the season/off season (February) but were a little dismayed not to find it completely ready for us. The pool was empty when we arrived, but the maintenance man did fill it (and it took a day to fill it while we were there) and also all of the patio furniture had to be uncovered and unpacked by my husband. This took him about an hour to do this and sweep the entire sundeck area. We were told there were high winds prior so that is was it was so dirty. :( Speaking of dirty – we know that the mop was damp when we arrived and it appeared as if someone might have mopped but within 1 hour of us arriving and unpacking we looked down and the soles of our feet were filthy. We then went onto mopping the ENTIRE villa (which took another 1+ hour) as we had to mop it 2x to get it clean. We actually have photos of how dirty our feet and the mop water were. However, all the linens were clean and spotless, and the place is set up very nice. The shower water pressure was delightful and loads of hot water!! But if you care to have a sleep-in the neighborhood dogs will not let you. Especially the big dog across the way. The kitchen had spices upon arrival, coffee/tea, a nice bottle of wine and one bottle of water in the frig. All the pots and pans were of high quality, even a paella pan and we also were happily surprised there was plenty of wood for the barbecue and wood burning fireplace. It was quite chilly while we were there, it was February and there are additional heating units in each room. We were not super impressed with the wifi connection as it kept disconnecting and the speeds were quite erratic. But it is also connected on the sundeck. The place was a great value during the low season we were here. Once we were settled and all cleaned up we did enjoy the sundeck, barbecue and amenities.

Excellent Location

Having stayed in many villas over the years, this is the first one in a town. A few minutes walk to the seafront, bars, restaurant’s and shops including a Mercadona, this location was great. The house is fabulous, plenty of room and the rooftop pool area is amazing with great views across the town and beyond. Sharron was a great host and answered any questions I had very quickly. Definitely recommend this property if you are looking for privacy but still easy access to amenities. The house had everything we needed, plenty dishes, glasses cutlery etc

Buen alojamiento

Alojamiento con buena ubicaciĂłn, cercano a la playa. Excelente azote con solĂĄrium y piscina, lo mejor de la casa sin duda. Cuenta con todo tipo de menaje de cocina y un completo equipamiento del hogar (plancha, secador de pelo, lavadora, etc.). Todas las habitaciones cuentan con aire acondicionado. La habitaciĂłn principal es enorme. Cocina-salĂłn de concepto abierto conectada con esplĂ©ndida terraza donde desayunar, comer y cenar. Por circunstancias sobrevenidas no hemos disfrutado completamente de la estancia (14-21 de agosto de 2021) a pesar del buen equipamiento general de la casa: 1) El aire acondicionado de la habitaciĂłn principal no enfriaba (en plena ola de calor fue imposible dormir adecuadamente). El encargado de mantenimiento, Cristian, fue muy atento, pero no pudo hacer nada para solucionarlo (todo indicaba a una falta de gas). En una segunda visita (otras personas) tampoco se pudo solucionar. 2) La ausencia del toldo de la azotea (habĂ­a roto unos 10 dĂ­as antes de nuestra llegada por una tormenta, segĂșn nos comentĂł la propietaria) hizo imposible disfrutar del mobiliario mĂĄs allĂĄ de las tumbonas. 3) ADVERTENCIA La casa cuenta con menor potencia elĂ©ctrica contratada de la necesaria, todos los dĂ­as se cortaba el suministro en un par de ocasiones y era necesario rearmar el contador. No era posible poner el aire acondicionado en dos habitaciones y el salĂłn y cocinar o poner el lavavajillas. La primera vez que nos pasĂł, la primera noche, Cristian nos sacĂł de un gran apuro explicĂĄndonos como proceder para rearmar el contador del exterior de la casa (llave de mariposa colgada al lado de la puerta principal). En las circunstancias adecuadas hubiese sido una estancia esplĂ©ndida dada la buena calidad del alojamiento y su equipamiento.

Very well equipped property in a quiet area, with a very enjoyable pool

The property is as described and shown in the pictures. It is very well equipped (in general), the pool is very good with very nice lounge chairs, and the roof area is very enjoyable, specially at night. It's in a quiet area and beds (at least the one in the main dorm) are comfortable, which was a nice surprise. Communication with the owner, Sahrron, was also very good. The kitchen has almost everything you need, and even provides many of the kitchen basics. I missed a few things such as a small pan, but in my opinion, it's equipped way above your average rent house or apartment. Also, the terrace in front of it is ideal for lunch or dinner. The living room is ample, has a good TV (better and larger than the one in the pictures!) and offers many entertainment options (didn't use them, though). Wi-Fi is there, but at least in my case coverage in the roof area was spotty at best. Also, it could benefit from a fiber connection instead of mobile, but I don't know if that's even a possibility. Location, as said before, is good and in a quiet place; however, it must be taken into account that the last 300-400m to the neighbourhood are an uphill walk on a street with barely any sidewalks, which for me personally was a bit of a pain. However the house invites you to stay in and enjoy its facilities, so... your mileage will vary ;-). Also, access to the house is through a flight of stairs, which must be taken into account if accessibility is an issue. To round it up, all in all, the house is very good. My only criticism is that, although the property is great, for the price it could use some renovations here and there and some kitchen equipment could be renewed or replaced. My other gripe is the BBQ; although a cleaning metal brush and food manipulation tools are provided, I missed any tools to manipulate charcoal or ashes such as a poker, metal shovel, tongs, blower, etc. Also, as a suggestion, I think the front terrace could greatly benefit from having a retractable awning installed, so that it can be used for breakfasts. That said, I'd rent the house again without hesitation ;) Finally, for all Spanish or EU visitors, take into account that payment is in British Pounds; so add a 2-3% commission from your bank or card issuer to the total cost ;)

Great stay at Almuñécar.

Great location and very comfortable villa. Thanks a lot also to Sharron, always trying to make things easy and answering all doubts before our stay. I can say you feel so good there, and at the swimming pool and terrace, that you may not want to go to the beach even if it is only at 5 minutes by walking.
