My husband, our puppers and I came to Alpena for the celebration of life ceremony for our grandma. The trip was last minute but the hosts made everything super convenient from our booking theough thw emd of our stay. Our drive up after work on Friday got us into Alpena after midnight so we were extremely grateful to find the kitchen was stocked with coffee, creamer and sugar. A godsend Saturday morning when we were scrambling to get dressed for the service. Our puppers was very comfortable in the house and backyard, he can have trouble settling in when we travel and it said a lot that he had no trouble sleeping, eating his breakfast or running around the backyard. Thank you guys for putting the extra attention care into setting up your home for visitors, it was greatly appreciated!

Loved the house. Great location for our needs. 6 adult and 2 dogs fit perfectly. Only issue was the address link was wrong but the exterior pictures were great to find the correct location. Would definitely stay there again!

This was the perfect place to spend a couple of wintery days with the dogs. I only used the downstairs but the kitchen was incredibly well equipped and the Ruko TV's in all rooms were much appreciated. I had a couple of questions during my stay and Jennie replied within minutes. (Make sure & visit the Marine Sanctuary Museum if you go)

Alpena is a quiet, welcoming town, and this home is in a safe, friendly neighborhood that is great for walking with the dog. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Thomson Park Beach on Lake Huron, which has dog-friendly areas. Starlite Beach is a little farther away and was busier during our visit, but it offers a splash park and public bathrooms.Rockport State Recreation Area is a 20–30 minute drive north and has Devonian-era fossils you can collect, while Negwegon State Park is about 30 minutes south with a beautiful, undeveloped shoreline that’s perfect for hiking and beachcombing. Both parks are dog-friendly.The house is updated, exceptionally clean, and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful extras that made our stay more enjoyable. The fully fenced backyard works well for dogs of all sizes. The host was quick to respond to any questions.Guests should know that the upstairs has low ceilings and firm beds, so taller guests may prefer the downstairs bedroom. The house does not have central air conditioning, and the window units can be noisy, but in early August we found nights cool and breezy.We enjoyed dinner at Mango’s, the free NOAA Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary museum, and a glass-bottom boat tour on Thunder Bay. There are both Aldi and Meijer nearby for easy grocery shopping. If we visit Alpena again, we would gladly stay here a second time.

Our stay was wonderful! The house was perfect for my family. It was very clean and well stocked, including many extra touches. The location was ideal - only 3-5 minute drive from downtown Alpena’s attractions and 3 minutes from the beach. The host was responsive and wonderful to work with. The check in and out process was seamless. We would definitely stay again if we come back to Alpena!

Our party of 8 adults and teens had plenty of room to sleep, lounge, eat, and play in this rental. The kitchen is well appointed and everything was sparkling clean! Parking is a breeze and the neighboorhood is quiet and walking distance to lots of Alpena fun!

Quick Getaway

This home is nicely decorated, clean, and conveniently located in town. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and owners went far above with the extra touches. A lot of thought went into making sure renters have a super experience. We didn't have children with us, but kids could be entertained in the house even on a rainy day. Our dog enjoyed the fenced yard while we relaxed by the fire pit.

Visit to Rocksport Alpena.

The house was clean, modern and well furnished. It could easily accommodate 6 people. We chose it because we brought along our 10-month old puppy and the fenced in yard made that easy. Everything was conveniently close. We had a very pleasant stay.

Excellent property! Very clean, comfortable and dog friendly. Love being able to stay here with my pups and will do it again. Very quiet area and nice neighbors that shoveled the sidewalk and driveway after a big snowstorm. :)

Home away from home

We needed a pet friendly place where we would feel comfortable leaving our furbaby for a short amount of time throughout the day. This place was perfect with its fenced in yard! This was great for all of us and very clean! Will very much use in the future when we come back to visit family!

We recently stayed here for a family get together and late Christmas. It quickly felt like home because of all of the touches. It is well-furnished and maintained. Lots of room to spread out and relax. The fenced in backyard was amazing for the dog!

Clean, cute, thoughtful accommodations

It’s definitely an old house but has been updated nicely. The house was clean and comfortable with thoughtful touches like extra toiletries, laundry soap, etc. We loved being able to bring our two chocolate labs along and the fenced yard made it really convenient. Our kids loved having their own rooms with TVs. One bathroom was a little challenging with a family of 4, but we made it work. It was certainly more comfortable and spacious for 3 nights than a hotel, and probably not much more expensive, either. The location is really convenient and close to everything in town. We will definitely stay here again when traveling to Alpena!
