Family & Freelance Apartment in the center of Ski Amadé

Colorful sunny apartment perfect for families and freelancers alike. Situated right next to tourist office and 5 minute walk from the town center and ski-bus station. I designed this well-equipped apartment with usability and internet connectivity in mind, so that you can conveniently do your work after you had your epic day in the paradise of Ski Amadé. I will give you valuable insider tips regarding best freeride and paragliding spots, biking trails, dining, hiking destinations and more.
The apartment is located in a former hotel building called Altenmarkterhof, in the new part of the building, first floor. Has two balconies, one facing west, the other one north. Access is possible either via main entrance or via entrance at the main parking lot.
In the dining room there is a dishwasher, oven, microwave and a large fridge with freezer available. The couch is expandable and can sleep 2 adults. Also a TV with satellite connection and a HDMI cable ready for a device of your choice.
Each bedroom has a large 200x180cm bed and features a desk with LAN high speed internet connection cable making it perfect for those working on the go or kids wanting to watch their favorite cartoons before falling asleep. Of course there is a high speed WiFi available as well. There is another TV in one of the bedrooms.
The bathroom and the toilet are separate.
I tried to emphasize the authenticity of the space, that is why the pictures you will see on the walls are either from some of my best snowboarding days in the region, shots I took on my full moon night sessions in Obertauern, or paintings of my girlfriend Gabi. Some of them are up for sale, so feel free to let me know if you would like to get an authentic souvenir such as these.
You will have the entire apartment at your disposal, except a few marked drawers.
In the summertime, there is a small garden, patio and barbecue area around the building available for common use.
In the basement there is a large common area to store your skis and ski boots, and a ping pong table.
I speak English, German and Slovak. I will welcome you most probably in person and give you my personal recommendations how to get the most of your holiday, be it snowboarding, climbing, mountain biking, hiking, paragliding or swimming. I will also give you recommendations on the best restaurants in the area. I live nearby, so I will be able to assist you in case there is need.
Altenmarkt is positioned in the heart of Ski Amadé and that means that within 20 minute car drive radius you can get to over 10 different ski resorts while most of them are just 10 minutes away and/or reachable by local ski bus. Many of these resorts operate in the Summer as well, which makes up for excellent options for easy hikes.
This place offers countless other activities, unforgettable atmosphere and has amazing local culture. Once you visit, you will most probably get hooked just like me.
The apartment is 5 minutes away from grocery store, bus station and the center.
With a ski bus (free for skiers/snowboarders) you can get to world's famous ski resorts, such as Flachau, Zauchensee, Obertauern and many others.
Highly recommended is also paying a visit to glaciers: Dachstein (35min drive), Kitzsteinhorn (1hr drive) and Mölltaler Glacier (1hr 40 mins drive) both in Winter and Summer!
