The location was fantastic. Walking distance to the hustle and bustle of everything. The room itself was shabby, the walls needed cleaning or a coat of paint.. The bed is only accessible on one side only. However the best itself was very comfy.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel The Exchange, perfect location and very friendly staff. Always welcomed with a smile upon entry and exit of the building. Helpful advice too. We had an issue where housekeeping had accidentally taken a sentimental item with our bedding, however, this was very very swiftly rectified in the morning by management. They had to search through all the linen but managed to find it! We are very grateful to the team and to the hotel for making our stay comfortable and convenient. Until the next time <3

Great location with elevator. Rooms are small and bathroom does not have a separate stall but works great and very functional. King bed was very comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would stay again for sure !

Great location, Friendly Staff You can’t find a better location. This hotel was half way on the busy Damrak street, between the Train Station(6min walk) and Dam Square. We stayed in rm 517 which was the top floor in the Roof Gable looking onto Damrak. The room was quaint old world charm with exposed beams and fairly large for Europe. The bed was extremely comfortable and the place was clean. The only drawback to the room is that it could be a bit loud at times as it faces the busy street, so we did hear some noise from late night party goers and the Tram that passes, but overall we weren’t disturbed too much. There was lots of shopping, restaurants and attractions to sightseeing close by… all within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and always accommodating to our request. I would definitely stay there again, and would want that same room 👌

The location is great. Just a 10 minute walk from central station. Don’t let the entrance and lobby put you off. The rooms are tiny but spotless. You can’t walk around the bed. You need to crawl across the bed to open the window or adjust the temperature. The desk area works well. But there are no usb connections anywhere. You need adapters if you’re from NA. The shower was lukewarm. The staff were excellent.

It was incredible!!! We were on the 7th floor and had incredible views of the city. It was centrally located and was incredibly convenient getting around the downtown area!

Would Recommend

The location for this hotel is fantastic. Close to Central Station, offers luggage storage, convenient to so much shopping, food and tourist locations in Amsterdam. The area is safe to walk. For those not able to easily walk, the taxi stand is just across the street. There are steps in the building, but with some planning and communication, the staff was able to help with our room needs and lessen the steps taken. The staff is friendly and onsite.

Extremely loud- the music from outside keeps you up all night and people are walking throughout the hotel all night. Must be a very heavy sleeper to get sleep.
