Ok but probably would not stay again

Although we didn’t have breakfast (didn’t start until way too late), I understand the choices were very limited. Rooms were very small, staircases were very narrow which made carrying our luggage up the stairs quite difficult. The front desk was very friendly. Location of hotel was great so if that is important then this is the hotel for you. If a little larger room with some amenities is important then I would look elsewhere.

Location was the main benefit. Many of the tourist locations were within walking distance. Restaurant had very limited options and the hours were challenging (didn't open until later in the morning).

The building is very tired and the room was shabby but the lady who checked us in was lovely and helped us with a city map. It's a gorgeous area. The bed was very comfy and the shower was good so although it doesn't look like much we'd come back.

Location was great but they need to note there is no elevator and there are 5 floors. We were on the 4th. Also the lobby & lobby bar were closed Sundays & Mondays so couldn’t even get a coffee in the mornings. They advertise the lobby bar that is beautiful but never open. Room was smal, tv didn’t work and the lighting in the bathroom was awful. Only met the staff on check-in and checkout.

Good communication from reception when I couldn't arrive at the time I expected, easy self check-in option after 8pm. Good location to access popular hotspots, but with the benefit of staying in a quieter area. Felt safe and cosy in my room, modest and just right!

I am used to small European hotels and I generally like them for being “unique”, as opposed to the big chain hotels. I didn’t mind the lack of elevator or the steep, narrow staircases. However, certain things could and should be better. For example there was not a single electrical outlet in the room. After looking around for half hour, I found behind the curtain a short extension cord connected to an outlet in the ceiling. The bathroom was incredibly small with the toilet bowl almost touching the sink. There was minimal lighting and the main light fixture was hanging from the ceiling. The reception was open only a few hours in the morning and in the afternoon. Closed from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. It would have been useful if some of these details were included in the description of the hotel. Nevertheless, I did enjoy my stay. I hope the other rooms are better than the one I had.

The washroom was flooded. The receptionist didn’t bother to help. Directed me to call the emergency number that didn’t work. We left the hotel and booked somewhere else. Don’t waste money, time, and vacation!

Very treacherous stairs. No elevator, had to carry our luggage up and down four flights of those stairs. No hot water tap on sink. Hand towel instead of bath towel. No cleaning of room or towel exchange during stay. TV didn’t have reception.

Be prepared for steep stairs! I knew there wasn't an elevator, but staying on the fourth (US fifth) floor was a pretty steep hike. The room and bed were comfortable, though the TV didn't have a signal. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but the shower had great water pressure and hot water. There wasn't daily housekeeping in the room, which was fine for me, but FYI for others. I loved the convenience of the location -- it was close to a lot and super convenient, but on a quiet canal and so was nicely peaceful at night. It was also a lot closer to Waterlooplein than it seemed on the map, so that was a nice surprise when arriving. The room would be tight for two people, but wasn't too cramped for just me.

Within walking distance of attractions and lots of dining options which is why we booked this place. Friendly staff called a taxi for us many times ( It poured and we couldn’t walk to our destination). towel bars in bathroom are needed to reuse towels. Remove the chairs and put in a luggage holder. Inconvenient to always have to put suitcase on the bed to access contents.
