This facility is very well maintained and updated. We would probably stay again if we couldn't find something closer to downtown. Unfortunately the area the hotel is situated in isn't clean and the view outside our window was overflowing trash cans and broken down vehicles. The Continental breakfast was well stocked when my husband went down at 0700, but was picked over and the hot water for oatmeal was room temperature when the rest of us came down at 0815. The bread was restocked, but not waffle batter or muffins. Definitely visit Ray's Vietnamese 0.2 miles from the hotel if you find yourself in the area - very clean and some of the best food we had on our trip which included lots of delicious food.

The LaQuinta is close to the airport, and has a shuttle service that makes the commute easy. The area is lacking a bit in dining options that are within walking distance, but overall, the hotel is nice.

Bright spot in a bad day.

Plane mechanical issues caused our flight from King Salmon to Anchorage to leave 4 hours later. We missed our connecting flight in Anchorage to Seattle. The airlines got a room for us at La Quinta as the next available flight out was late afternoon the next day. It was late at night, we were tired and the room was perfect. Made it to breakfast downstairs the next morning with 10 minutes to spare before it closed. La Quinta did us right when everything else was going wrong.
