This property did what we needed; however a few things could easily be improved. The location was a bit too far from anywhere. Can't change that. Squeaky doors/ uneven floors/ beds uncomfortable and noisy in rooms 2 and 3/master bathroom toilet needs to be fixed constant noise hard to sleep/ air conditioner hard to adjust/ window covering needed on front/ walkway up to front door uneven and possibly dangerous for older people/ With that being said I liked how well stocked it was, we didn't need to buy anything. It was a quiet area, very country.

This sweet cottage was perfect for our weekend away from everything. The house was very clean and had what we needed to prepare simple meals. It was very quiet, wuth only a few friendly neighbors occasionally driving by. Bring your binoculars! We saw deer, pheasants, racoons, coyotes, cranes, and eagles in the field across the road. Alex responded very quickly to any messages we sent to him.

Uncle's Memorial

The location and setting was absolutely perfect for us! We were in town for an uncle's memorial and as it turns out we had family farms nearby the rental house. We loved the location and the house was perfect for us. Peace and quite and the tranquility of Wisconsin dairy land surrounded us. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your house and for being so accommodating. The owner was available as needed for questions and we had no issues with the house.

Quiet country home with fenced yard for dog no

Hubby and I wanted to explore the Chippewa Falls, Hudson, and surrounding Wisconsin areas and this home is situated about 45-55 minutes away from each. There are a lot of State Parks in the area, The best is Willow Falls in Hudson. The surrounding land of this home has beautiful countryside views right out front. We saw deer grazing everyday in the morning. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The master bed was comfortable. The fenced backyard was wonderful for the dog. Everything was as shown in the pictures. The host was easy to contact and responded quickly. I would recommend this home if you like being out in the country with a reasonable drive to sites in the surrounding areas. It was a very pleasant experience for us!

Perfect spot for us

We loved the views at the cottage and as we drove the country side. We had a wedding on Sat. at Maidenwood & it was wonderful to have two bathrooms for 2 couples to to get ready after a morning hike. The fenced yard was wonderful for my son's dog. It is nice to find a dark-sky spot where you can enjoy the stars. The kitchen & living spaces were wonderful.

Great place to stay for a wedding!

Our brother got married at Maidenwood and this was the perfect place to stay as a family! 20 minute beautiful drive to our destinations. The house was very warm and welcoming with a stunning outlook from the front of the house. Our host was very helpful and made our stay stress-free and very enjoyable!

Home feel Cabin

We enjoyed our stay! It was wonderful having clean updated bathrooms to give the kids a bath in. We have 3 children under 4. There was lots of cute decor that we made sure to move out of little ones reach! As all home away from homes the comfort of beds just arent the same which is to be expected. Hard floors make it super convenient for mess cleanup. I was so excited to see this cabin had a speed queen washer and dryer (they are the best). Having a large refrigerator is a must and this cabin did not disappoint. The luxury of outdoor firepit with wood available is great for added fun. One protip be sure to adjust water temp- there is no short HOT water supply. We will definitely stay again when our kiddos get a little bigger. 1hr drive from Eau Claire and 15 min drive from Durand.

Heaven in Porcupine Valley

Oh my, what a fantastic stay we had at Alex's cottage. Pristinely clean, well appointed, lots of towels, cookware, dish ware, 2 of 3 beds were super comfy, 3rd was suitable, nice bathrooms, good AC, nice yard for our dog, exquisite views! We will definitely be back again.

Just what we were looking for!

Private country home, with beautiful views! Plenty of room! Everything you need with a quiet country location! Fenced in yard so our pup could come and enjoy himself too! We had some cold weather and the fireplace was so appreciated. Communication with owner was great!

In area to attend a wedding

We were attending a wedding in Pepin, the listing is a bit deceiving about the distance to Pepin. The roads are very rural and winding. The house was perfect, just waaay out in the country.

Quiet Country Cottage

Well appointed and very comfortable cottage nestled in a scenic valley close to Wabasha and Lake Pepin. We didn't travel far to get here but truely felt like we got away for the weekend. Would recommend will likely return!
