Couldnât have been a more perfect place for our weekend in Asheville. Clean, cute, well-equipped and perfectly located. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!
Not enough and a bit of glossing over in facilities
The front room is nice. Recent complete remodeling. Where the unit fails is the size of the bedrooms that would have been much more suited to queen sized beds. The bathrooms were not as carefully remodeled; the floor in the master bedroom was just kind of pieced together. The bathrooms are very small but normal for the age of the building. Could have used a good deal more storage in the bathrooms. Could have used a lot more silverware and plates.
The property was great and in a great location but road noise can be loud. The bathrooms are very small and need more counter space or at least a shelving unit over the toilets so everyone has a place to put their toiletries, Entry hall could also use some coat hooks. Overall good value for the money.
Even though I read the reviews about the wonky floors and how noisy the apartment was, I was still surprised by how true the reviews were. The noise level from the street was as if you had the windows openâŠneeded ear plugs to sleep. And the amount of noise from the surrounding apartments was also annoying. The gap at the bottom of the entry doors made for very noisy neighbors. The linens, towels, shower curtains, and bedding was thread bare. There was no tea kettle as not everyone drinks coffee. The bathrooms were very small with very slow running drains. As this was a late Oct. visit, the air conditioning was running but no heat. The management company responded immediately and when the heat was finally turned on, the whole apartment smelled like a burning element and there was a layer of soot all over the apartment. If location is important, this VRBO was perfect. However, if comfort and cleanliness is important, the place was a disappointment. Price for comfort was not equal.
Very happy with location. Pretty quiet. And just above the bakery was added convenience. Would have liked more utensils and better skillet inkitchen Bathrooms need more counter space or floating shelves
Location and size was perfect for our family of four. The older building has character, for sure. There is a bit of a slope in each room. However, for the overall amenities and location we could not asked for better. We will be returning for future adventures in AVL.
We had too many people to stay affordably at the Hilton garden inn down the street. This place gave us much more space and two private bedrooms. Great spot, was just like the photos. Easy check in and out with coded locks. Simple and worked great. Staying above a bakery was a nice benefit in the morning. Short walk to everywhere we wanted to go downtown.
We had a great time in Asheville. The VRBO was very nice, good location for what we wanted to do in and around Asheville. Only issue was with the internet/WiFi connection. Not consistent and made watching TV difficult.
Convieniet location, and very clean 2-bedroom condo. We were minutes away from all the restaurants, art, hikes and shops in and near Asheville. Parking can be a little tight in the morning and afternoon during the coffee shop busy times. Wish we would have been able to try the restaurant and coffee shop downstairs, but we were away for most of the day. Very convenient washer and dryer just outside your door step.
Having hit the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains the four of us needed the perfect pivot point before heading back. And we found it in Asheville.
The King James Building is ideally situated with all points of interest a mere 3miles away. We spent hours on the Riverfront Art District, checked out West Asheville and wandered downtown.
Our apartment was perfect for two couples fully equipped with kitchen and morning coffee (although we also indulged the bakery mere steps from the front door).
Very good place, comfortable, great price. Close to everything. The drive to downtown Ashville was less than 10 minutes away. The two restaurants below were awesome.
Location was great and it was clean. But the furniture was a bit rickety.
There wasnât any space in the bathrooms to set stuff. And the WiFi was terrible. The t.v. buffered constantly and made everything looked like it was in slow motion. Also there wasnât an elevator and we were on the top floor. Something that would be difficult for someone who has difficulty navigating a lot of stairs. And thatâs not in the description. It was a struggle to haul my 45lb suitecase up the stairs.
