Cons: The map of the trails behind the house is a little hard to follow. Could not find the pond.
Location: Trail behind the house, but be ready to hike! And Glendalough nearby.
What a charming bed and breakfast! First the friendly staff makes you feel very welcomed to start. Then the clean comfortable spacious room and the lovely bed makes you feel home. And they immediately refresh you with some tea and cake soon after your arrival. The breakfast was lovely, and the swing on the front, the trail behind the house... All wonderful! I also ordered the picnic for the hike, and it had enough to feed four for just the two of us. I would definitely recommend.

charming country house
Posted Jul. 23, 2009 on HotelsWe loved the antiques and charming decor of Ballyknocken House. The breakfast was delicious and included some unique choices including apple-celery juice! The dining and house staff were efficient and friendly and we appreciated the quiet in the nighttime after our city stay. The only noise; the bleating of our neighbors, the sheep. Good place for some down time after Dublin.
