My family and I were on a 10 day beach vacation, staying 2-3 days at each stop. The place reminded me of where Danielson lived with his mom in the original Karate Kid. Worn down, not maintained, and our suite, if you want to call it that, was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. When we finally got to our room, it was filthy. The beds werenât made, there were dirty towels in the shower and hair on the soap and on the toilet seat. There was sand on the floor and windows looked like they had never been cleaned. We told the manager and he showed up within 15-20mins with what appeared to be his teenage son. They did a quick pick up on the room and told us that they didnât know to make beds so they just threw the sheets & blankets on the bed. We explained that we werenât comfortable staying there and asked for a refund and we went to better establishment. The manager told us that Hotels.com would issue us a refund, but when the representative from Hotels.com reached out to them they refused to refund any amount; i wouldâve been satisfied with even 50% refund, but unfortunately, they are only interested in offering a âBait & Switchâ hotel with computer generated room designs.
