Golden Sands, Waiheke Island

Golden Sands is a wonderful, north-facing holiday home which offers the rare combination of panoramic views of Sandy Bay and the Hauraki Gulf, with direct beachfront access to secluded Sandy Bay. Relax on the sun-drenched deck and watch your children play on the safe, sandy, all-tide swimming beach at the bottom of the driveway. No busy roads here! A kayak and a dinghy are available (upon request) so that you can enjoy a spot of fishing or a peaceful row around to Hekerua Bay. There are also two E-Bikes plus helmets available at the property - a great and eco-friendly way to get around the island!
A therapeutic haven, year-round – a special place to unwind and recharge.

Perfect for 3 couples or 2 families with 2 children each.

Rates are for 6 people.
More people are an extra $40 per person per night.
Special conditions:
2 nights minimum booking.
3 nights minimum booking over long weekends.
7 nights minimum booking over Christmas New Year (Dec 20 - Jan 10).
1 night stays available with surcharge to cover cleaning and linen:
Sunday to Thursday night, available to book anytime except during long weekends and Christmas New Year.
Friday and Saturday nights only available to book at the earliest, during the week beforehand.
For 1 night stays please apply through our office.

Everything was superb thank you - Richard’s help and detailed information and a wonderful home in a fantastic location. Sandy Bay is a great place for all ages and a good location for accessing all the sights and venues on this amazing island. Definitely somewhere we’d want to visit again.

Birthday get away

I booked the house for a 50th birthday weekend. We had an open door to anyone who wanted to stay/visit. Needless to say the house was full every day with visitors either for a day on beach or overnight for a barbecue and morning swim. The house is in a quiet location, 10 minutes from the ferry, and the beach is at the end of the drive way.

Fabulous bach and experience!

We absolutely loved this bach. Super clean and comfy, amazing view and location, still bach-like, and awesome extras to make it a real experience. The e-bikes were a huge hit and great way to see the island. Highly recommended for families or friends.

Awesome location

A great house in a fantastic location. Only a few small issues - the sliding door leading onto the top balcony would not lock, the sky decoder was not working and sand was found in the beds in the sleep out. We would definitely rent this house over and over again.

Fabulous beach front property

Awesome property in a superb location with everything there - loved the kayaks and ebikes. Well suited to our family of 6, with kids having separated accommodation in the lower level of the house. We all had a fabulous time and would definitely stay there again.

Great house for our family of 7. We loved the close proximity to the beach and beautiful views.

Great property and location. Well set up with separate areas for two families. Easy walk to the beach and beautiful views from many rooms of the house. We couldn't get the TVs to go on our second day but this was probably a connection issue. The sleepout was a bonus for a quiet place to retreat which our daughter enjoyed. Overall a lovely place to stay.

What an amazing trip, I've never been to waiheke and the little bay we stayed in right on the beach linked to our driveway was wonderful. Bring your own vehicle just makes things so much easier as well. Coming back in a few months time for sure

Everyone loved the views and location in Sandy Bay.The house was well planned for visitors and meeting friends.The 8 of us had a great time.Just the wifi was not working, but we had the key away when the repair person came, so not to worry.Thank you, it made for a very enjoyable weekend.

Our stay was wonderful thank you. Great property with a lovely view. The property manager was very helpful on arrival also. Very minor issue with the smoke alarm so close to the kitchen meant it went off while trying to cook anything but otherwise holiday was perfect.
