Barton (3 Acre-Freshwater) Springs is just ACROSS THE STREET. LADYBIRD LAKE 10 mile hike and bike trail around the lake is right here for you. Practically at your doorstep HAVE IT ALL!! SWIM, CANOE, HIKE & EXPLORE. One of our recent guests told us this property reminded her of an "open air Costa Rican experience ." Another lovely guest said it reminded her of their vacation home in Roatan... I had to look that up.... what a compliment!!! If you are not familiar with Austin, this property and location requires a HUGE FUN introduction
 in a second you’ll see why. While we do not have a private pool or a beach. We do have something so UNUSUAL, TRULY SPECTACULAR and special we would love the opportunity for us to introduce you to BARTON SPRINGS Pool, Ladybird Lake, Zilker Park and its potential for you. This property is ABSOLUTELY just across the street from Zilker Park and a mere 379 steps to the back gate of Barton Springs Pool. AND the river walk feeding Ladybird Lake.

Briefly, Zilker Park is 358 acres of gorgeous center city park land and within it lies Barton Springs Pool which is fondly described as the crown jewels of Austin -The pool itself measures a whopping 3 ACRES in size, and is fed from underground springs with an average temperature of 68-70 degrees, ideal for year-round swimming. In addition to Barton Springs Pool, this property has immediate access all of Zilker Park and 10 miles of hike and bike trail surrounding the lake. This is Austin’s social hub for hiking, biking & winter canoeing

The first thing you will see as you walk into your living space is a huge wrap around deck and dramatic picture window providing expansive views of the aforementioned AMAZING Zilker Park. (You can watch people play in the park and see the back gate of Barton Springs Pool from the deck)

3 sets of French doors open to the park side deck with wonderful breezes which “invite the outdoors in,” providing a truly spectacular experience of the park.

The décor has been described as Costa Rican inspired and offers a tranquil setting through its thoughtful custom use of all natural materials. This includes open beam cedar ceilings throughout, wood and limestone counters, and a solid granite kitchen sink. Bathrooms boast pristine white stucco with sparkling Quartz rock flooring. 2nd living room is luxurious and peaceful with a 70" TV if a game or movie is in order. This second living space doubles as a bunk room for large parties. This property is the complete upper level of a luxury duplex with very private street level entrance. Designed to be a perfect romantic getaway for two or a vibrant family gathering. *see bedroom configuration below.

We had an incredible stay here. The property is beautiful and clean and the outdoor area is so nice and relaxing. I had a college reunion with 7 girls and we stayed here very comfortably. The location is incredible, just a short walk to Barton springs and the trail. Host is very attentive and nice. There are sky lights in most of the rooms including bedrooms so if you’re wanting to sleep in I would bring a sleep mask.

My friends and I just returned from a girls weekend in Austin and this house was a great jumping off point for all of our activities. Really close to everything we wanted to see and such a great spot to head out on morning walks with the park right there. Lots of rooms so everyone had their own space. It was a very cheerful house!

Simply Awesome Stay

Lisa did a great job and the Glass Trreehouse is a true treasure! Views of a valley below and of a hill above and very tasteful decor inside. Its location is somewhat secluded. Very special- all of us can't wait to come back!

Long Weekend With Family Was Great

I stayed at this great property with my family for a long weekend. I have a 3 year old that stayed in the room connected to the master, which worked very well. I was also able to fit my 6 month old’s crib in the master closet. It was great!

Beautiful house in top area of Austin

We loved everything about this house. Every room is beautiful decorated with lots of windows and skylights. The outdoor area was equally amazing. We loved being able to walk to a number of places and having a short drive to endless restaurants and hot spots in Austin. Lisa was extremely responsive and provided many great recommendations. 5 stars!

A MUST STAY!!!

Impressive from the time you walk through the doors! Stop for a minute and admire Lisa’s beautiful carpentry and creativity. Everything is perfectly and intentionally placed for harmony and function. The rooms are comfortable and well thought out. Lisa is a fabulous host and made sure we were comfortable and had everything you need. Just in case anyone is in a wheelchair, we were able to bring my Mother in law over and had no problems with her thin wheelchair getting around. My son said, “I’m going to miss this place and I can’t wait to come back!” My husband and I couldn’t have said it better. Thank you Lisa! Best, Jennifer and Keith

College Roommates Weekend

A wonderful spot!! Such a fantastic house with so many cute and unique touches - we had the best time sitting in the cozy living room drinking coffee or wine and catching up. House had everything we could need and was incredibly clean. Lots of space and comfy beds. Within walking distance or a short drive to so many restaurants. And a great walking/hiking path just across the street. I can’t recommend enough!!

Great location, lovely deck, otherwise....misleading description, overpriced and poorly maintained

We were disappointed with this vacation rental apartment. While the location and deck space were appealing, the overall experience fell short of expectations. I have been a vacation rental host for 10 years and speak from experience. The listing was misleading: We believed we were booking a single-family home, not an apartment in a duplex. This was a major factor in our decision. The late-night arrival of other guests confirmed this was not a private residence. The listing also falsely advertises a pool.While the apartment does have 5 rooms with beds in them, most would consider only 2 of them to be traditional bedrooms. Of the other bedrooms, two are very small, and the final room is really the TV / entertainment room. There is only space for 2 cars to park. Price to quality poor: while the owner prices based on location and season, for the price we paid (thousand / night), the quality is poor. The linens are worn, the closets lacked hangers, there were no bathmats, the teapot was broken, many doors did not close properly, and the master bathroom toilet is malfunctioning. Excessive pet fee: We had a non-shedding dog in the house for 2 nights and the owner charged us a hefty pet fee outside the norm I have experienced at other rentals. Maintenance items stored in living space: the master closet had paint cans stored in it and we could smell the fumes. Crowded with bric-a-brac: this is an aesthetic opinion, but we found the house cluttered with “decorations”.
