Not restful

Upon arrival, security gate from garage to home, worked. Did not for remainder of trip. Resident told us that it was broken all the time. Had to climb outdoor staircases with little kids and bags in the heat, throughout stay. Gate on back patio did not latch. Downstairs of place was great, except for two things: neither of the window coverings fully covered the windows, and the kitchen stools were so stained that they grossed us out! Upstairs, the closets were so full of extra beds and junk, tough to hang clothes.The guest bedroom was a little nightmare- no dresser meant we had to live out of our suitcase, that was on the floor by a rug that was so filthy, there were tangles of people’s hair in it. The worst part though, was a sheer curtain on the window that just like the downstairs curtains, didn’t cover the whole window. We had lights flooding in all night, and up at the crack of dawn the next morning. Lastly, borrowed clothing and dish pods from daughter who lives in town, because there were neither there. P.S. Leaving the adjacent graveyard out of the description made for a fun surprise view!

I originally rented another unit I later learned was in the same complex and owned by the same person. Inexplicably I received a notice 2 days later that it was cancelled. No reason given. I learned from the owner that a changeover in systems “was to blame.” The frustrating part is I was never contacted. Did he not know I had a confirmed reservation that was cancelled?? The condo was fine. Location is perfect if you don’t want to park at a UT parking garage for games and graduation. Trying to complete everything for the reservation was a hassle. I had to input all our names and information and pictures of car four times. I kept getting emails the process was completed followed by emails and even phone calls that it was not completed. I sent numerous emails. The owner even called. Finally it was completed on their end as it always showed completed on my end and in the emails I received except for later ones saying it wasn’t. The “system” they “bought” was to blame not them is all I kept hearing. In the busy world I live in, I didn’t have time for the hassle. FYI the 3rd bedroom is an open area at the top of the stairs with a Murphy bed right at the entrance to the bathroom from the hallway. Lastly we paid 150 for a 12noon early check-in but the condo wasn’t ready until nearly 1pm. The cleaners said they didn’t know the condo had an early check-in scheduled. Communication again was a hassle with the same excuses.

Great stay at a Great Location

We showed up late in the evening after a major storm and a huge power outage for Austin (35k customers without power). Cell coverage was spotty and access to the internet was almost non existent so we couldn't access our check in process. One short phone call later we had the owner of the property checking in on us numerous times that same night and again the next morning. The property was in a great location with a very family friendly restaurant within feet of our front door, La Plancha. The parking garage was conveniently located across the courtyard and had parking large enough to accomodate a large SUV. The unit itself was very clean, had tons of games and tvs for the whole family, and had very nice floorplan. To sum everything up this was one of our very best VRBO experiences and would highly recommend a stay her to anyone visiting Austin

Extremely Disappointed!

Unfortunately, we showed up and had a hard time gaining access to the unit. When we were able to finally gain access, we found visible stains on the bedding and the toilet was not clean up stairs. I had to call the manager and let him know. The other big issue was the dryer was not functional, and the cleaning crew mentioned the management team was already aware and had been aware for a while. Very disappointed!

The AC was not working and at first we were assured it would be fixed in the morning then they did not show up or responded to my calls until late the next day. They did get it fixed that evening but it was an uncomfortable night and most the next day. The location and the courtyard were wonderful. The place would have great and if they had responded sooner it would have been less stressful.

Really great venue looks so much bigger in person than it does in the pictures. The location is great. It's close to everything but not loud. The TV game called and so was pretty cool as well as the foosball table. Management was prompt with any questions. Definitely recommend as a great option to be close to downtown, but not in the middle of it

Lived up to expectations!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location was extremely convenient for the long weekend we were in Austin. Check in was a breeze and the unit was clean, cool, and comfortable upon our arrival. We did have an occasion to contact their concierge line for a small issue. They answered promptly, calling me by name, and resolved the issue within a few minutes. The location of this unit was so close to a couple of good restaurants and coffee shop and close to the Moody Center. If we need to stay in that part of Austin again, we would consider staying here again.

Bad check-in process, great location

When we arrived for our early check-in, someone's stuff was all over the house--the bathrooms, bedroom, and common areas. We immediately left and called the owner to see what was going on. They said it was a mixup and would be fixed in an hour, but when we went back, there was no change and we had to leave again. Four hours after our original check-in time and numerous phone calls later, the apartment had finally been vacated and cleaned. We had some issues sleeping that night because the air conditioning units are not strong enough and sometimes need to be reset. The maintenance team did come by with an extra unit the next day, though there was only one, so the other bedroom was still warm. Beyond those issues, the apartment was well stocked, and the location is fantastic. But the start put a real damper on things.

Great condo in good location, but maintenance issues

Nice condo in a good location near UT campus. Lock and unlock doors via app is a bit clunky, sometimes doesn’t seem to work. Biggest issue is maintenance….AC not working in guest room, had to give me temp unit. Also lots of smaller issues including garbage disposal not working, towel racks and other plumbing fixtures broken or coming loose. Also dirty shower curtain liner. Too bad these maintenance issues were not addressed, would have been a really good stay. Finally, contact with concierge service is difficult to get someone on phone and someone was parking in the 1 garage spot assigned to this rental, forcing us to park on the street.

Nice property, nightmare of a checkin

I’ll start by saying that the property is beautiful and we had a wonderful stay. The checkin process though was a nightmare. We didn’t get the confirmation email sent to us and thus were unable to enter the property. We had to call Vrbo directly who was able to contact the owner after 45 minutes on hold. We were then emailed the email with the entrance info. It would have been ideal if the host would be a bit more accessible.

Great Place!

Loved the location, the quality and style of home, all of the sleeping arrangement options, security of the complex. A couple of things that we noticed while staying - check in was a bit confusing when it came to accessing the actual place. Check-in instructions mentioned a link to 'my passport link' that wasn't clear where or what that was - don't think we ever received or found it. While I did get an email back from host, would have preferred a call back with more straight-forward instructions rather than saying that I should have received the 'my passport link'. We got in okay as luckily the door was unlocked. When we left, we had to keep back door unlocked because there was no other way we knew how to get in if it had locked. Because the courtyard had a code, this was fine, but would have been a bigger deal to us otherwise. Overall a good experience here, but would be great if instructions were more straight-forward and clear, secure, and easy to use door code implemented.

Great Austin spot

The apt was clean and had tons of communal space for our group. The location was only a short Uber away from the main spots downtown, and we felt very safe and secure throughout our stay! Would recommend this to a group visiting the area!

Super clean!

The property was clean and perfectly laid out. There were extra pillows and blankets which was a plus! Parking is limited so it is best to park on the street which is right in front of the property. The property was facing a cemetery… although that wasn’t a problem for my friends and I, in including that in case it’s problematic for others. Overall, it was a good stay! Would love to return to this property.

Can’t get closer to the stadiums!

Perfect condo for your family or friends. We enjoyed everything about this it and it’s just 3/4 of a mile to UT track field and football stadium and less than that for the baseball stadium. Very well equipped with anything you might need to prepare your meals, including blender and slow cooker. There is a coffee shop attached to property that has coffee, healthy breakfast treats and other restaurants are within walking distance. Convenience in every aspect.
