Cottage By The Sea - 1900's beach cottage 100 ft from beach

Enjoy amazing views of the beach, white water, and pier from this darling early 1900's cottage. Newly renovated with great attention to detail, you will love relaxing in our home away from home. Every inch of the cottage was remodeled with state of the art appliances, views from the entire main living area & kitchen, and a large bathroom with pedestal sink & a charming claw foot tub/shower combo. Plenty of off street parking, a large deck on which you may take in the views and a patio with fire pit allow you to live comfortably inside and out. With the beach only a half block away, it's literally your backyard! The house is 100 ft from the beach!

Monthly rentals available: October, November, January-May. Rental period begins on 1st of month. Hold over days are nightly seasonal rate.

Suitability: Monthly Renters Welcome, children welcome, non smoking only, pets not allowed, wheelchair inaccessible, ocean views, charming cottage, downtown

*The Avila Beach area is undergoing several construction projects, including the construction of a new home at a neighboring lot. Even though Slo County noise ordinance is enforced, from time to time guest may experience construction noise.

A little heaven on Earth

Loved this little bungalow. It was perfect for our small family get-together. It was across the street from my favorite coffee shop (Kraken) and the view of the ocean was incredible. We will definitely be back!

Avila Beach Cottage Getaway

We were very pleased with this property. The proximity to the beach and boardwalk made it very convenient to enjoy the beach area. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, plates and pots and pans which made meal preparation much easier. The bedroom beds were very comfortable. Overall the place was very well appointed and included a awesome laundry room. The only thing I could say that would have made the experience even more delightful would be to have a more comfortable mattress on the sofa bed. All in all this was truly a five star experience.

We really enjoyed staying in this very well appointed beach house. Kitchen is wonderful to cook in. Indoor and outdoor space is excellent! Loved the laundry room with ample space to stay organized! The bathroom and shower are wonderful. Beds are so comfortable! We Slept well!! Location of the house was really ideal! One block to all the shops and beach. Avila Beach is buzzing during the day but. Ice and quiet by bedtime. Ample places to walk. Beautiful area in general. Loved our stay! Also rental company was very responsive. Thanks for making our trip great!!

Great Avila Getaway

Property was super convenient. Only 1/2 block to the beach and all the shops in Avila. The property has everything you need. Well stocked with beach supplies and kitchen utensils. The fire pit and bbq are nice and easy to use. We look forward to our next visit.

By far the best property that we have rented in Avila in the last 5 years.

This is our second year renting from Donna Lewis and family. I have not found a place that feels like a second home until we came to your beautiful comfy cottage last year. And here we are again. I absolutely love this place. I wish I owned it cause it's just perfect. Thank you for turning your home into our home for two weeks. We hated to leave Avila, its become our hearts home for the past few years. I hope to enjoy your cottage again next year. Love the decor, the scenery and the hospitality of your place. Perfection!

This is absolutely the perfect little piece of heaven right in the middle of Avila Beach! From the minute you pull into the long spacious driveway you will be so happy you chose this place. The house is decorated adorably, the views of the beach from the kitchen, living room and outside deck are unbeatable, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking up a storm, the grill and fire pit add to the outdoor indoor experience of staying 1/2 a block from the beach. After 10 years of coming to Avila for an annual trip this is the only place I want to stay!
