Authentic

Actually a wonderful German hotel in a small town. Very clean, and the woman who runs the restaurant is wonderful with us stumbling Americans. Mostly Germans on holiday or biking. Was there because a friend wanted to return where he spent his youth as a military brat. But be warned, no air conditioning, like everywhere else summers are warmer. Cool at night with windows open, no bugs.

Bad Time in Bad Toelz

I was not impressed with this hotel, sadly. It is rather outdated and dark. The restaurant on the ground floor is very appealing and welcoming but the hotel room that we had on the top floor was not. We did not sleep either of the two nights as there was a terrific crashing noise above us which continued without pause all through the night. We thought it might be the flagpole or a heating system, but when we mentioned it at reception at checkout they seems flummoxed and offered no explanation -- nor it should be mentioned -- a discount of any sort. We were disappointed, though the surrounding Bavarian area offers a lot to see.

Squeaked elevator

The room was clean and the bed comfortable, the breakfast and the location good. But the elevator squeaked so terrible that I had to sleep with earplugs. Maybe it is ok of the room ist far away from the elevator, otherwise avoid this hotel!

Wonderful town and people!

The hotel staff was very friendly. The town was beautiful! I was very impressed! During our entire trip we were treated the best staying here. The restaurant downstairs has the best schnitzel in town!!! YUM

Comfort and convenience

The room was nice and spacious with a comfortable bed. Parking is down the street but easy to enter and exit. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. The rear opens onto a closed street and the front opens to the road.

No Wifi

There is no wifi in the restaurant or any room in this Hotel, unless you sit in the reception area only. Clean and tidy rooms if a little dated, nice breakfast and nice staff all with a Bavarian feel. Handy for the local ski areas and plenty of choice in the town for shops and food outlets. Price reflects that you are not in a mountain village with skiing on your door step, but is still within 15 minute drive to Lenggries Resort.
