The staff were phenomenal!! Hotel itself was modern and very clean. Spa experience was great. I have never received the level of service anywhere like I did here. We will definitely be back!!!

The view to the valley and the river is perfect. The location is amazing but the hotel looks aged. The spa restrooms were dirty. Needs some updating

Nice but....

Great check-in. Very poor restaurant service, which looks like it was attributable to insufficient, properly trained staff. One excellent waiter running up and down stairs trying to run both bar and restaurant floor.

Wonderful surprise

This hotel is in a beautiful remote location in the Douro Valley. It is a spa style hotel. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Staff on desk ere very helpful. We like the dining room food better than the bar menu (just our choice).

Incredible stay- absolute highlight of our trip. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The property and facilities were so nice. It would be hard not to enjoy this place and to totally disconnect and relax.

Very beautiful although somewhat stark resort and VERY remote. For me the best part was the view and the pool area. Staff did not advise us of all dining options. We made a reservation for lunch and were the only ones there 🙄. Same menu as dinner. Could have ordered sandwich from room service or eat at bar. But overall a very relaxing experience.

This hotel is amazing ! Has beautiful views , is incredibly confortable , clean , staff very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, food was very good and staff friendly , there was a delay serving food and staff were very apologetic Breakfast is very good best bread I ever had in a hotel! The indoor swimming pool is clean and provides a very relaxing atmosphere The bed was very confortable. I will go back again as this was a very good place to relax

Idyllic isolation!

An amazing escape from the world! Such an idyllic place. Advise on booking a transfer if you're not driving as it's so isolated. That's what made it so perfect!
