Great location on Bailey Island

Completely renovated cottage within walking distance to beaches, restaurants and the most beautiful coastal vistas you could ask for. This cottage was originally a carriage house/garage for the Main house constructed by civil war artist Xanthus Smith so it comes with history yet it has been completely redone for todays more modern lifestyle. The view from the master bedroom deck towards the famous Cribstone bridge is breathtaking. You can take a walk to Cedar Beach, Garrison Cove beach or for a bit longer walk you can head to Mackerel Cove. So many options and such amazing coastal vistas to enjoy. There are boating charters available close by should you choose to head out into Casco Bay. You can also take a quick walk across the Cribstone Bridge and rent a kayak for the day. If you choose to run into town ( Brunswick) there are great options of things going on in town and on the Bowdoin campus. If you choose to travel you can head up the coast to Bath, Boothbay or all the way up to Acadia - or you can also head down toward Freeport for some outlet shopping or head down to Portland for all they have to offer there. Please note we area a Saturday to Saturday booking schedule due to cleaning schedules. If bringing an electric vehicle please add the electric fee in your reservation.

The cottage was great ! Very well appointed and maintained. I would highly recommend this area for your vacation . Nice water views and very close to local restaurants. Bailey Island week for four

This was the first time that we’d stayed in this cottage. It was extremely clean and well-equipped for the four of us. The owners live on site on the weekends and were always very responsive to our questions and requests. We highly recommend it!

Bailey Island cottage

Cute, clean and comfortable. Owners are quickly responsive and easy to reach. Cottage is newly updated with air conditioning ( no screens on windows, so air conditioning was important). Very comfortable beds and well stocked with linens, towels, paper goods and kitchen supplies.

Fabulous week at the Cottage

The cottage was perfect for me and my wife. The electric grill outside was used every single day. Having a cloths washer and dryer made it real nice to have clean cloths to unpack when we returned home. The location was perfect for exploring trails nearby too. We can’t wait to return to this perfect cottage.

Accommodations great for four people. Two bathrooms worked out great. Mattresses very comfortable. Location near dining, the water, sailing, lobster boat tours, and general store. House has AC. There is an outdoor picnic-type table. Only view from deck off main bedroom on second floor.

A little piece of Heaven

The cottage is lovely with two well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Very nice bedding and everything you need in the kitchen to cook up a lobster feed or make any other great meal. Incredible views from the second floor. Joanie is a terrific host. I can’t say enough about my wonderful week. The location is perfect for setting off on adventures and exploring the Casco Bay Area!

Nice Stay

It is a cute place that was very enjoyable. It was clean and well supplied kitchen. First time I have stayed in a VRBO that I needed to supply my own toilet paper. I thought that was very unusual. It is right off the highway and could be noisey during weekdays during business hours..

Wonderful place to stay

Our family of four had a wonderful time! The cottage was incredibly clean, with a nice layout. A nice touch is that Joanie provides bottled water (in one of those big 5 gallon jug bubbler things). We would definitely be back!

Beautiful Cottage

Beautiful cottage on Bailey. Joanie is a great host and we had everything we needed for a relaxing week. One thing to note; this is probably one of the few cottages with central AC which was a godsend with the unusual heatwave we had.
