Welcome to Eagleview Retreat Guest House. Home of the breathtaking Kootenay lake and surrounding Mountains.

This is the entire guest house (including a completely PRIVATE lower suite) Located in an absolutely beautiful area. This is a luxurious 12-year old, 3000+ sq/ft home that has just been recently furnished with all new high-end furnishings, including all bedroom suites and mattresses.

Relax inside or out in TOTAL privacy! Our place is everything you’ll ever want in a “get-away” resort, you'll not be disappointed.

Let’s start with the best part, a huge balcony with spectacular views, and plenty of yard to relax in. You’ll not have any trouble finding the comfort you need. TWO fully equipped modern kitchens, a luxurious living room upstairs with it’s cathedral like ceilings, as well as another down stairs. With two brand new 55” and 46" smart TV's with Netflix and a multi-media player in the living room upstairs, you’ll easily find something to entertain yourself if that’s your wish or, curl up in front of the gas or electric fireplace and enjoy a good book.

Located near Balfour, we are the best of both worlds. We’re very close to the city of Nelson (with its funky & dynamic city centre with brewpubs, coffee shops, restaurants, parks and shopping) yet also conveniently located close to Kaslo, Ainsworth Hot springs, golfing, Skiing, and several other attractions found in the pristine Kootenay Lake area.

We are striving to create a “Retreat” atmosphere to relax, unwind, and enjoy after a busy day of biking, motorcycle riding, skiing, golfing, shopping or any other activity you have enjoyed in the beautiful Kootenays.

Our place is amazing because of the perfect location & peacefulness. You will truly enjoy your stay!

Lovely property with a fabulous view! Plenty of space and rooms were well separated allowing for privacy. Found everything that we needed for a one week stay. I was worried that because it was not air conditioned we would be too hot as they were calling for temperatures in the mid 30’s. In fact it was not an issue. Lots of fans in the house and by opening up the windows each night (the windows are all screened), and then closing them during the day we were very comfortable. The owners answered emails promptly. Loved the area. Would recommend Balfour golf! All in all, a fabulous week. Thank you Charlotte and Robin

Our Nelson trip

From the moment we booked until check out we had a fabulous experience. The owners were very quick with replies for any questions we had and the accommodations were top notch. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is wanting beautiful views and who is going with a group with kids or on your own.

Was a wonderful stay. Great space. Hard to park, would recommend a reflective marker at the top as it was not the easiest to navigate with a truck. Clean and easy to use home. Wish the home book was easy to locate as we had to search for the binder. Lots of games and toys made it fun for the kids. Kids liked the hidden rooms in the closets. And the water on the night stands was nice.. kids always need water.

Beautiful house in a great location

This house was perfect for a family get together. My mother has limited mobility (she uses a walker) and having the master bedroom and walk in shower on the main floor was great for her. The owners were wonderful and communicative.

Amazing place!

Stayed at this beautiful property for our Christmas celebration with family, we had a wonderful stay, plenty of space for everyone! Hosts are very responsive and gave great instructions prior to our stay, making us feel confident at the check in time. Hoping to stay here again next year!

Perfect location

We stayed here for a family vacation. Age ranging from 82 to 13 years old. It was a perfect layout, (because of mobility issues )having bedrooms on the main floor . The house has a lot of room so we never felt we were on top of each other. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Spectacular View - Beautiful Home

Gorgeous view from large windows and a great patio where we spent many hours chatting and barbecuing. All the amenities that anyone could want in a rental home including lots of kid toys to keep our little ones entertained. Close proximity to explore Nelson and the many hiking trails in the area. It is also literally 5 minutes from the ferry. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Golf tournament at Balfour

was amazing, very comfortable, beautiful view could sleep 7 single people easy with 2 in the king 1 in single bed or 5 couples ...1 couple on pull out couch, also has children's room very accommodating for baby or toddler. or both..also had lots of little extras toiletries, spices, coffee etc. 3 full bathrooms 2 with full tubs 1 full walk in shower plus a 1/2 bathroom 2 kitchens 2 living areas etc if rent entire place, beautiful big deck BBQ all towels bedding very comfortable..only thing is driveway in aliitle tough especially for a big vehicle but lots of parking top of driveway.. very close ..this is a perfect get away for a big group or family gathering..host was very accommodating.will book again for sure

Beautiful property with a spectacular view

Our family from various locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan arrived in Balfour for 4 days for the internment of my Mom. Robin and Charlotte did their best to accommodate our early arrival. Their communication was very prompt. The driveway proved to be the only challenge with this rental as it is very steep. However, all of the amenities of this property far outweigh this inconvenience. The kitchen has everything required to cook for a large group, and the view is absolutely stunning. We would highly recommend this property!

Weekend getaway

We had such a wonderful stay! The house is lovely and the view of the lake is beautiful. We had a group of 8 people and everyone was very comfortable for the 3 night stay. The first night there was a thunderstorm and watching the lightning from the deck was spectacular! The location was great. Not too far from Nelson, and we enjoyed a variety of the trails at nearby Kokanee Creek. The old growth walk and Gibsons lake hikes were quite beautiful and easy, while some of our group tackled the more challenging peak hike. Another highlight was getting to see the nearby Redfish spawning area where the Kokanee were finishing their journey. We also had a lot of fun playing games and cooking meals together. It was also only about 20 minutes to Ainsworth hot springs so we enjoyed a soak after hiking and checked out one of the local pubs for dinner which was recommended in the house binder (Dock n Duck). The driveway is steep so you will want a capable vehicle, but we found it to be manageable. Overall, really great stay! Thank you so much!
