Had to change rooms twice. Chlorine level in pool was excessively high it was so bad your eyes would burn and you could taste the chlorine . Staff refused to help. First room had window frozen open. Front desk staff didn’t want to assist and tried to use the excuse of too many bathers. It was bad enough they had to close the pool. Staff is dishonest and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there till they fix their issues. Asked for a manager and no one would connect with us. More to say but will leave it at that for now

Booked rooms 10 months prior (2 rooms). Requested same floor and that did not happen. We were 1 floor apart. Booked pet friendly and were placed by elevator and ice machine. One morning ice machine was drained my a guest at 6 am.

Overall a nice place to stay. It is a 20 min walk into downtown Banff.Free local bus passes are provided. Indoor parking was available. The lobby looks well kept. Room was fairly clean; however, we did find an old bandaid on the floor. The room had no USB charger, the fridge was unplugged, and the bathroom could have been in better shape. IMHO it needs a bathroom renovation and update of furnishings. The bed was comfortable. Only one side of the bed had a night table though. The indoor hot tub is huge and has powerful jets! Very soothing for aching post hike muscles! It was closed on the Sunday ( our last day there) for maintenance. May have been unplanned as there was no advance warning. Exercise room was fairly small. There was a sauna as well. Filtered water station too. The Keg is on site and is very good. The staff were nice although the one who welcomed me the first day seemed cold at first, before warming up a bit. She also did not seem to be knowledgeable about the area. We asked about a meeting place at the old train station. I got a blank look and no help. I went to the front desk the next morning and was capably helped by another concierge. Overall a solid choice although for the price paid per night for the room, I was expecting something a bit more upscale, room-wise but other than that it was a good hotel.

The room is very clean and bed was good. Very accessible for transportation as they give you free bus pass to roam around the city. Only downside is theres no airconditioner.1

Great location and excellent parking/restaurant. Our stay was less than great by virtue of being allocated a room on floor one, which had a very strong smell of chlorine circulating throughout the entire floor (as the pool was on this floor). I had a negative reaction to the chlorine and raised this with staff, whereby the response was simply ‘oh well’. The downstairs housekeeping/storage room doors were left open all the time as well, thus leaving the distinct impression you were staying in an industrial basement, rather than a hotel, and the staff did not care that this was the impression given to guests. The room clearly needed some maintenance due to loose taps, a poor shower, and general wear being obvious. The pool was also shut for a whole day during our four night stay, no real warning was given of this, save a note stuck up on the wall with less than 24 hours notice.

great location and super staff

the lodge was in a great location, the rooms were spacious for 2 people and had a kitchen and all needed items for meals in the unit. The only drawback is the units need updating, especially the carpet and paint. Otherwise the staff is great and I would stay there again.

Rooms are extremely small and the price was extremely high. Not worth it to stay here. It’s better to stay in Calgary and make a day trip to Banff and come again the next day if you like to spend another day in Banff.
