Find your perfect woodland getaway at this Banner Elk 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath vacation rental house nestled in the treetops of the Blue Ridge Mountains. ‘Beeches be Crazy’ is a three-level cottage with mountain views, a great deck space, hot tub, outdoor dining, a fire pit, and 2 separate living areas - perfect for 11 guests. With nearby festivals, wineries, ski resorts, and hiking trails all just a short drive away - you’ll find no better place to enjoy the majestic beauty of the North Carolina mountains.

THE PROPERTY

Set on a gently sloping mountain edge, this magnificent 2,900-square-foot home will be the host of great memories. As soon as step inside, the main level’s vaulted ceilings, skylights, and warm and cozy ambiance will immediately make you feel right at home.

Relax on the couch after a long day cruising the nearby ski slopes to keep nice and toasty in front of the fireplace. If you’re in need of some lazy entertainment, the brand new HDTV can keep you up-to-date on all your favorite shows.

Whenever hunger strikes, whip up a new recipe in the fully equipped kitchen, which boasts updated appliances and granite counters. There’s multiple dining options both inside and out, so you’re sure to find the perfect ambiance to enjoy your meal. Be sure to make good use of the grocery delivery service if you don't want to shop for yourself.

Another full living area, dining area, and kitchen can also be found on the lower level - making this home perfect for multiple families who don’t want to sacrifice privacy on their mountain getaway.

Step outside every afternoon for cocktails on the deck or covered patio. Whether you want to soak in the hot tub, whip up a barbecue dinner, or roast marshmallows over the stone fire pit, you’ll always be framed by mountain vistas.

THE LOCATION
This home is just a short walk to downtown Banner Elk. Enjoy the artisan restaurants, quaint shops, and Wildhead Lake, which boasts a beach and pier. Stop by the Banner Elk Winery for a taste of the area’s best vintages, or try out the craft beers at Flat Top Brewing Company.

Hikers, you’ll never run out of terrain to explore. Grandfather Mountain, the second highest mountain east of the Mississippi is also just about 20 minutes away, and has many things to offer, including hiking trails, a wildlife habitat, and the "swinging bridge" with 100-mile views.

The Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the most scenic roads in the US, is also within 30 minutes of Banner Elk. Along with splendid views, many hiking and biking trails and fishing are also accessible from the Parkway.

When the snow begins to fall, this home is centrally located between Beech and Sugar Mountain - 2 of the largest ski resorts in the area. Both resorts are 10 min away and are also prime areas for hiking and mountain biking in the summer.

The location was close to both Banner Elk and Beech Mountain, which was great. The neighborhood had a windy, dark road that was a bit difficult for some to navigate in the rain, especially the first time they were looking for the house. The kitchen is spacious, and the bathrooms were all good sizes, though none of them had any hand soap.The master bedroom on the main floor has another bedroom directly above it on the next floor, and when someone walks above you will certainly hear it unless you are a deep sleeper. The view is pretty, and the living room fireplace was great to use, especially since it has a timer so you don't worry about forgetting to turn it off. The downstairs area was a good place for one of our party to work remotely, and we enjoyed the game table downstairs, too.

ABSOLUTELY change your cleaning people. Hot Tub, Chandeliers, bed furniture, outdoor furniture, Kitchen counter and table, faucets where water comes out were black, wood floor stuck to your socks and I have never seen a grill that was in THROW AWAY condition for rental property as that. I brought excellent PRIME steaks and never cooked one. Ienjoyed nothing. The master bed mattress was a joke. I was discussed with the place. Sorry but my review is true.

Great location, fit our needs well

3 floors, 3 king beds plus a bunk, close to Banner Elk, short drive to Beech or Sugar. Spent time at all of the above, had a great time and the kids played outside in the snow while we watched football inside by the gas log fireplace. Can't wait to come back

Lovely mountain property

Our group of 6 older adults enjoyed the views, the deer, the three master suites and the proximity to several mountain favorite sites. Locating the property initially was challenging but worth the effort.

Mixed bag

The house has great bones and prefect location. The fire pit is wonderful - but the seating needs to be addressed . But 

 10 towels for 10 guests ? After I asked for more towels, the owner said she’d contact the cleaning crew- which never delivered 
.and she never followed up. Not good ! 10 towels ( low quality at that) for 10 guests, yet there’s enough plates , cups and glasses to feed an army ! Kind of odd! Communication was lacking. Overall - a nice stay! (A 4 star) But it could have been a 5 with the more effort and communication on the owners behalf !

Banner Elk Paradise

This is our second time to rent this lovely home!! Steps away from all of the action in the quaint town of Banner Elk!! So many activities close by for snow skiers, wine drinkers, or nature lovers!! The home has three master suites and two living areas! Plenty of room to spread out! The kitchen offers everything you need and more! This is hands down a great rental to book!!

Great spaces in the house

House sleeps 9, seating on back deck for 4, not including 6 high top table chairs. We did not walk into town as it is downhill from the house (fairly steep) and then on a fairly busy road with no sidewalk until you get to the college. Interior was fine but the sheets on all the beds need replacing. They are on their last leg. The gardens are great with loads of flowers and the koi pond is charming. The location is great
. near everything. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Perfect Mountain Getaway

The home was lovely, we would definitely be back. The double kitchen and living area makes it perfect for multiple family lodging. The kitchens was fully stocked and had everything we needed. Amanda was extremely accommodating and was quick to respond to all my questions and concerns.

We just spent the weekend in this lovely property close to downtown Banner Elk. The house basically has 2 living quarters so lots of room to spread out! The bedrooms are spacious and each couple had their own king size bed! The hostess provided many extras

The house was perfect for our group of three couples, we each had a king-size bed and bath and each on a separate floor, so lots of privacy and also plenty of space to be together. We really enjoyed the dining table on the deck with the lovely view. It was a quick drive into Banner Elk and it's choice of restaurants. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

Cozy mountain escape

This place was great for what we needed. This house had a full basement which gave a place for the kids to hangout and give the adults time to relax upstairs. The hot tube was a nice touch as well. Amanda was great with communication though out the whole stay! I highly recommend this home to any and everyone visiting the high country.

Nightmare vacation

We arrived to a house that wasn't cleaned after the last renters. The owner attempted to have her cleaners come finish the job, but they never arrived. We waited until dark and with no other option but to stay at the house that night, we started cleaning the disgusting house. We had to wash all of the dirty linens, clean toilets, remove hair from showers, pickup trash, vacuum floors, wipe countertops, etc. We worked until 1 am so we could have clean sheets for the beds and clean towels to shower with (all during a snow storm). The owner tried her best to rectify the situation, but by 10 pm when another group of cleaners arrived with little to no cleaning products, there wasn't much left for them to do besides use more bleach in the bathrooms. They came back the following morning with a dirty mop and told us they weren't doing anymore cleaning. We booked the property for a memorable winter vacation and envisioned nights around the fireplace and relaxing in the hot tub. The hot tub was never cleaned or drained and the sides were covered in junk. We definitely couldn't use it safely. The fireplace also never worked. It was out of propane and because of the storm, no one could come refill the tank while we were there. Also, when we arrived the heat wasn't working. We had to replace the batteries in the thermostat. The trash from the previous renters was still piled in the garage. Other than ALL that, the property is beautiful, the beds are comfy, it's well-stocked, and the owner had great communication and tried her best to help out. If the house was cleaned and had everything been working properly, it would have been a magical vacation. Unfortunately, it wasn't that.
