We welcome our guest to come and enjoy cozy Mountaineer's Paradise nestled in the heart of Valle Crucis! Steep driveway 4x4, in winter. Hawksnest snow tubing 13 mi. Sugar ski Mtn 9.7mi, Beech ski Mtn 12mi, and App ski Mnt 14 mi. App state 9.7mi. Our family affectionately refers to this home as Grampa's House. Grampa never met a stranger and loved to travel. To carry on the tradition of travel and welcoming visitors, we invite you to come and enjoy the serenity of Moutaineer's Paradise. There are fun things to do outside such as zipline, swings, firepit area, and the well-maintained hot tub. Newly update, beautiful granite counter tops and a 9 foot Island for entertaining. The open concept and many windows to enjoy the views will make you feel like you are in a tree house. New 50" LG 4k flat screen TV's are mounted in every bedroom with Roku to enjoy watching your favorite shows or sporting events during the downtime. After a day of fun and adventures, you can enjoy relaxing outside in the hot tub that is properly sanitized and maintained. During rainy days you can enjoy the fresh air sitting outside on the covered porch in the porch swing. Kids and Adults alike enjoy riding the zipline that leads down to the firepit area. The firepit has seating and a swinging bench to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Tree lights are strung throughout the tree line to light up the area at night so you can enjoy sitting by the bonfire with a relaxing ambiance. All who come to visit are sure to leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. There are several local attractions nearby including the Mast Store, The Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, and Hawksnest skiing and ziplining. Central to the towns of Boone and Banner Elk, Mountaineer's Paradise is a 15-25 minute trip to most of the desired destinations such as App State, Sugar Mtn, Beech Mtn, and Grandfather Mtn. App State is a short scenic drive to town where you can enjoy all the great places to eat such as Mellow Mushroom Pizza, Casa Rustica, and Cobo Sushi. Don't forget to pass through Blowing Rock and enjoy Kilwin's Ice cream in the park. We love to catch App State Football games in the fall which offers one of the best football game day experiences in all of college and pro football. We invite you to come and enjoy all that Mountaineer's Paradise has to offer. Medium size pets permitted. You will be responsible for any damage caused by your pets and may incur an additional cleaning fee if carpets or furniture require professional cleaning beyond what is normal. We want your stay to be memorable and do not want to charge additional fees. Please bring a crate for your pet if you plan on leaving them unattended for extended periods of time as it can take longer than expected when traveling in the mountains. Please do not bring pets that are destructive or chew on furniture. You will be charged for repair or replacement in the event that a pet destroys property or scratches on walls/doors.
