'The Hideout' - 2B Condo Minutes from Banner Elk

Relax to the sound of a babbling brook from the balcony of this beautiful condo located at the base of Sugar Mountain. Just a short drive to golf and tennis and within walking distance to the ski slopes, this condo features a fully equipped kitchen, stone fireplace with gas logs, washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, cable TV, and a bathtub with jets. This unit will sleep 6 with a King-sized bed in the master bedroom, 2 Twin beds in the guest room, and a Queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living area. Enjoy access to the Branches Clubhouse where you may relax under a big-screen TV, read from the collection of books, or join in a game of foosball or ping-pong. Non-smoking. No pets allowed. No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
All guests required to sign their rental agreement within 7 days of booking.

As advertised

We have stayed in a different unit in the past so we knew what to expect as far as location and getting to the slopes. Being able to walk to the slope is critical because parking at Sugar Mt. is limited. The checkin process is VERY inconvenient. You have to actually go pick up keys from the office versus a lockbox/electronic lock which would be SO much better. You also have to drop the keys back off at the office so if you plan to ski the last day you have to fight traffic to do so. Other than that the property was just as expected and we had a great time.

Great place to stay while skiing

Stayed here while teaching my 5 year old how to ski and it worked out great. The walk down to the slopes has a lot of steps, or it's just a short drive to ski parking lot.

Great Location

The condo was exactly as described. The location was within walking distance to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. It provided an outstanding overlook to the slopes. I would strongly recommend this condo!!

Great stay

Was very nice very comfortable. The walk to the slopes was not as far as I thought. Really cool to watch skiers go down while on the porch. Provided a little starter pack for kitchen and bathroom which was also very nice.

SO Much Better Than the Description!

This property is so much better than the listing makes it seem - the porch and master bedroom overlook a sweet little creek with tiny little waterfalls - we left the bedroom window open and could hear the creek all night long, it was so relaxing! You are also RIGHT ON the Sugar Mountain slopes, we visited over Thanksgiving, so no skiing yet - but there was still snow on the slopes that our kids got to go play on. The playground in the pictures is just a few steps away from the condo, so another plus for our kids. The inside of the condo is a little dated, but that almost makes it seem more "homey" than some of the other updated and modern condos you can find on Sugar Mountain - it was absolutely perfect for our little family get away over Thanksgiving. This condo doesn't have the breathtaking views that you can find in other condos on Sugar Mountain, but the little creek right out back, access to the playground and the ski slopes still make it an amazing condo on Sugar Mountain - we hope to be back!
