Can’t think of anything positive to say. The room was dark, dingy, stuffy, small, felt dirty. Noisy hearing footsteps from upstairs. No views - view our bedroom window was the garbage and out the front window was the parking lot. Everything is outdated. Bathroom very small.

The staff!! I hope the owners know what they have by having Christopher there! The cleaning staff stopped and said hi and asked if the room needed anything. Christopher was witty and right on with his recommendations of places to eat. The location was great, quiet but close to everything. Rooms were nice and comfortable. I would definitely recommend!!

First night of our vacation was completely ruined. Everything was fine until we came back from dinner around 10pm. My boyfriend went back out to our vehicle to grab something briefly, and when he returned, three large wasps had attached to his sweatshirt and entered our room. We were both stung more than once, and spent the next hour trying to either kill or get them out of the room. We were able to trap two in the bathroom, but then unable to use the bathroom for the night. We had a private balcony included with our room that we were unable to use due to 8-10 more wasps swarming the chairs/lights. We also called the front desk approximately 10+ times to report with no answer. No way to get in touch with management after hours at all. We spoke to the young girl working the counter in the morning, who was very sweet and told us she would tell her manager about it. When we spoke with the manager later that day, it felt as though we were not being believed because she didn’t see any right that minute, and suggested maybe we saw “little bees”. My boyfriend and I live in a wooded area with many bugs, including large wasps and hornets. We are familiar with the difference. Thankfully, there were none in the room our second night, but still some on the balcony. We were unable to use the balcony included with the price of our room at all. We were not offered any compensation for this.

From the moment we parked, we felt at home. Christopher met us with a smile and great recommendations, setting us up for an unforgettable mini-vacation. The room was clean, quiet, and well appointed. In the morning, Sydney welcomed us to an unexpected continental breakfast. a true hidden gem!!

We loved our room especially with the wallpaper, which suited it perfectly. Christopher at the front desk was a delight and font of information, and it was wonderful to have a reserved parking spot for our room. The room was spotless with some of the best pillows we’ve ever encountered on a trip. It was an easy walk to several restaurants and also to Main Street. The front desk also helped us make last minute reservations for accessing Cadillac Mountain, though the weather was not in our favor. We plan on returning to Bar Harbor, and want to stay in Room 3 again!

Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable! The manor is extremely close to downtown Bar Harbor restaurants, it was very easy for me and my two children to walk to lunch/dinner and back each day. The on site parking was extremely convenient, as we went into Acadia National Park every day. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful in planning our daily excursions -- they gave me great advice on what were "must sees" in Acadia, when was the best time to go to certain attractions (like Jordan Pond and Thunder Hole), and directions on the easiest ways to enter the park. And last but not least, they serve THE BEST blueberry muffins every morning in their "grab & go" breakfasts, we could never pass them up! I also didn't buy a single cup of coffee on our trip because the manor always had hot, strong coffee in the lobby (a dream come true for a caffeine addict such as myself). Would definitely recommend to friends and family!
