The hotel was perfect for our overnight stay while we were visiting Acadia National Park. We were pleasantly surprised by the updated feeling and cleanliness of the room. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was also so nice, and excellent food! It was a great little bay area to walk around during the day or after dinner. We would definitely return if we come back to the area again!

The whole staff was friendly and super helpful. The gift shop at the check-in area has lots of cute little souvenirs, as well as all those essentials we all forget to pack (toothpaste, deodorant, phone chargers, etc). The view over the marina with the tree covered hills rising in the distance - wow. I started each day with a cup of (complementary) coffee, sitting on the balcony, gazing at that scene. The restaurant on the property is really quite good. The servers and hosts are all smiles. I was well taken care of. Highly recommend!

This property has been recently updated new carpet, bathroom updates, everything smelled clean, looked clean, bedding was comfortable. The only complaint was thin walls. We could hear the people on both sides talking and I’m sure they could hear us. We use a fan app at night so no problem sleeping.

Hotel was clean comfortable and close enough to town to walk. We loved it! Only drawback was no coffee or tea in the room. Everyone was clustered around the front desk every morning. Also no microwave in room.

The staff and manager are very nice, friendly, helpful, and professional. It’s beyond our expectations. We wish we should have stayed longer than we did in Portland. Only small issue of missing 1 day of room service but they apologized and fixed it.

Kimball Terrace is a 20-minute drive from the Bar Harbor waterfront, through Acacia National Park. It has its own little waterfront, a gift shop, and a surprisingly good restaurant and bar. It is an old motor inn, but is clean and well-maintained. Rooms are basic. Our only complaint is that our room had double beds, instead of queen, and that the old inner-spring mattresses were really uncomfortable.
