I reserved twin or two beds but when I arrived I was told their “two beds” are always are always put together. That is not acceptable in the universe standard. It also made my friend and I felt very uncomfortable.

Property is in need of an upgrade. The first thing you notice upon entering the lobby is an overpowering smell of perfumey room fresheners. Standard room & bathroom is generously sized but the furnishings are outdated, dingy carpet, greying linens… My room was quiet with a dreary view to some kind of courtyard storage area. Fellow travelers with street facing rooms complained of noisy foot and street traffic in the wee hours. Limited room service, restaurant hours and menu options combined with limited options for finer dining nearby - unless you are looking for tapas or coffee & pastries you are probably a cab ride away from a good meal. There is a subway station a block away. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly.
