Barcelona Escape

2nd time staying in Marcel's Barcelona apartment and was just as lovely 5 years later. Location is superb...metro station out the door...building is very nice with a doorman and lift. Apartment is spacious with A/C, laundry (washer and dryer), large bathroom, and comfortable bed. The outside area is spectacular and kitchen has everything needed to fix a meal at home. Highly recommend for a visit to Barcelona...walkable to most sites or a quick Metro trip away.

Beautiful Apt. in Excellent Location

Terrific place to stay. The apartment was clean and spacious. Plenty of storage for clothing, suitcases and bathroom articles. The picures are accurate but it is better in person! The kitchen is small but more than adequate for breakfast and snacks. Placa de Catalunya is minutes away walking and the Metro is directly outside the front door. Several charming tapas bars within a block or two. (Try Ciudad Comtal or Tapas 24) We would recommend this to family and friends. We would definitely stay here again.Thank you Marcel and thank you to Enrique - the best doorman ever!

Marcel does a great job, clean secure apartment in a great spot . This apartment is so convenient to everything. The metro is 50 meters from the front door.. Marcel is super responsive. I would probably get some different furniture as the existing couch and chairs were not very comfortable. Also the bed although very comfortable is very close to the floor

Séjour réussi à Barcelone!

Appartement très propre, bien équipé et bien situé (la majorité des attractions sont accessibles à pied ou en court trajet de métro). L'appartement est au 6ième étage d'un bel immeuble avec ascenseur et concierge. Station de métro Passeig de Gracia tout près, de même qu'une épicerie sur la Rambla (Carrefour) ou encore au sous-sol du grand magasin El Corte Ingles. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la terrasse privée donnant sur la cour pour prendre les repas, ainsi que la présence d'une laveuse et d'une sécheuse sur place. Le lit est confortable. La Rambla est à 10 minutes de marche. Aussi disponible dans l'appartement: liste de bonnes adresses et de conseils sur Barcelone, de même que de courtes vidéos sur internet expliquant le fonctionnement des appareils ménagers. Séjour très agréable. Merci beaucoup Marcel!

Très beau séjour . Appart bien agencé ,tres bien situé avec le calme en prime . C était parfait !!

Super séjour

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans l'appartement de Marcel. Bien équipé et au calme ce pied à terre est très précieux pour se retrouver dans un petit cocon tranquille et il est agréable de profiter de cette grande terrasse notamment au petit déjeuner et au diner.

Everything about it was exactly as stated! Close to everything, easy to get to from the airport by bus, close the the metro and a lovely terrace! Marcel left great suggestions on restaurants and instructions about the home. We had a wonderful stay - cut short unfortunately, but we will be back!

Wonderful apartment, great location, very clean

My wife and I really enjoyed this apartment. The location is great for access to countless restaurants and shops right out your front door. There is a very large balcony, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is also very nice and not cramped. The owner, Marcel, was very easy to work with and get hold of with questions. He also helped arrange a taxi to get us to the airport on short notice. We will definitely be coming back to Barcelona and will be sure to stay here again!

Nice apartment

The apartment was very clean, worked out well for 4 women sightseeing from the US. It was in a nice location, just down the street from Casa Batlo, and close to a grocery store also. We walked all through the city from here. Marcel was very accommodating in allowing us to store our luggage both before check in time on our arrival date and after our checkout time on our discharge date.

Amazing and outstanding apartment

Marcel's apartment is an outstanding place, the location is fantastic right on the main festive street of Barcelona ( the metro is just outside the apartment door)- Plaza Catalunya is 5min walking which means any public transport and the airport bus is extremely handy. The apartment facilities are perfect and the video tutorials/document book are brilliant to help with the usage.Marcel was extremely kind and patient with all my queries since the time of booking and even though we couldn't meet bin person, his detailed instructions and email made up for it. Perfect and wonderful stay for us with a young kid and the week spent here is arguably the best vacation we have had. No hesitation to recommend Marcel's apartment for anyone coming to Barcelona.

The apartment was exactly as advertised, Marcel was out of town but had everything arranged as hoped, and he was extremely easy to work with. We would stay there again. We were walking distance to Las Ramble and many of the popular locations.

Fantastic Location!

Marcel’s property is in a perfect location. Metro right outside the apartment and La Rambla a few short blocks away. Just far enough from all the crowds. So convenient to restaurants and lots of high-end shopping. Marcel was away but kept in contact with us. The apartment concierge, Enrique, showed us around the apartment and was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again and we think you would enjoy it as well!

Location and Top Notch Service

First time visiting Barcelona and this apartment was so perfect in location. From this stop you can see all the highlights of the city and be The metro was so easy to use and the restaurants in the city and recommended by Marcel were excellent. Our favorites : 7 portes, Vinitus ( tapas) and Bodges ( old fashion cocktails). Having the outside balcony was also nice. Marcel arranged a taxi service to the airport and was extremely responsive during our stay! You are a quick walk to the Ramblas and great shopping right on the block! The apartment is very well appointed with a spacious living room with a TV, a kitchen with everything you need! The washer and dryer also came in handy on our 9 day stay. We have a comfortable bed and a great shower everything you need to have a great holiday!! Thank you again Marcel

This apartment is exactly as indicated and pictured on HomeAway website. Marcel was quick to respond to all of our inquiries and provided the BEST videos on You Tube of all features of his apartment. We can’t say enough about this property in Barcelona. It is exactly as shown in the pictures. Clean and spacious. The location can’t be beat as you get to Las Ramblas with a 3 minute walk. Marcel was fantastic with communication given that he was travelling. Do follow his recommendations for restaurants.

Great place, great location.

Exactly as advertised. We spent 6 nights. Comfortable with all the amenities we needed and the perfect location to get to all of the major sites in Barcelona. The metro station entrance is right in front of the building and a taxi stand down the block. Marcel responded quickly and was extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

Die Unterkunft hat alles geboten, was eine gute Ferienwohnung ausmacht: Klimaanlage, voll ausgestattete Küche, gemütliches Bett im Schlafzimmer, schönes und gepflegtes Badezimmer sowie eine Dachterrasse mit Markise, Dusche, Sonnenliegen und Esstisch sowie Stühlen. Ein Kritikpunkt sind für uns die harten Sonnenliegen, die leider auch keine verstellbaren Rückenlehnen haben. Und die Schlafcouch im Wohnzimmer ist leider auch nicht so gemütlich zum Schlafen. Hier müsste die Matratze ausgetauscht werden. Die Lage der Wohnung ist super zentral und lädt zum Shoppen und Bummeln ein. Auch konnten wir all unsere Ziele fußläufig erreichen. Wer nicht so gut zu Fuß unterwegs ist, für den besteht aber auch problemlos die Möglichkeit, den Bus oder die Metro zu benutzen, die schnell und gut zu erreichen sind. Die Wohnung verfügt über zahlreiche Infomaterialien über die Stadt und der Concierge des Hauses hat auch jederzeit gerne hilfreich Auskunft gegeben. Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gefallen und hat wesentlich dazu beigetragen, dass wir unseren Aufenthalt in Barcelona genießen konnten.
