The Collection Barcelona welcomes you to this comfy, quiet and bright apartment situated in the L'Eixample area, a district with beautiful and classically designed buildings. My 2 bedrooms apartment is ideal for families or business travelers!



Only 10 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya, Arc de Triomf and Ciutadella's parc and 3 minutes away from Urquinaona (Metro Red Line L1 & Green Line L3).



The Space:

Welcome to this 55 m2 spacious and bright flat in a historical building located next to Plaza Urquinaona and the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya. Barcelona’s historic Eixample is an ideal spot for art and culture lovers, containing some of the most emblematic monuments and museums of the city.



We manage other apartments in the same building, ideal for business groups and big families!



⚠ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Walls are very thin and other residents of the building very sensitive to noises. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

The Neighborhood:

Dreta de l'Eixample is a neighborhood in the Eixample district of Barcelona. It includes Plaça de Catalunya, the centre of the city, and the upscale streets Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. It is the bourgeois neighborhood of the city, which makes the majority of its population belong to the upper class of Barcelona. Dreta de L'Eixample is one of the most luxurious neighborhoods of Barcelona.



Getting Around:

The closest metro station is Plaça Urquinaona (Lines 1 & 4).

The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the bus "Aerobus" at Plaça Catalunya, in front of "El Corte Inlges". The cost is around 4.5€



Other Things to Note:

*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***



- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 6.25€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.

- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.

- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation

and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)



*** HOUSE RULES ***



1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction

2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.

3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).

4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.

5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.

6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.

7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.



Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

The location was perfect, but the check-in process was a nightmare. It was very sophisticated, but we managed to get into the building because a neighbor let us in. Once we got to the apartment, the door was blocked. We spent almost two hours trying to get it open. Communication was good, but after a 9-hour trip, having to deal with that situation left us completely exhausted.

Nice location

This apartment is in a great location, but that also means lots of street noise. The coffee maker was broken, which we discovered after buying coffee. We reported it, but it was not replaced during our stay. The apartment is officially on the third floor, but when you have to take the stairs it is more like 5. The elevator is an antique and according to the neighbors breaks down often, because the temporary renters don't know how to operate it. There are instructions in the elevator in several languages, but the main point is that the elevator door needs a firm, but not hard closing to work. Neighbors say that rough handling leads to the breakage. We like a firm mattress, but the bed is hard. Also the bed and the couch are very low. So I would not recommend it for older travelers.

If you want to see Barcelona and have never been before then you should stay here. The location is right in the center walking distance from so many exciting parts of Barcelona and very close to all amenities.. The apartment is clean and everything works well.

Great location

Lovely and spacious apartment in a great location. You could easily walk anywhere and also walk to very nearby metro stops. The apartment was right next to a grocery store which was very convenient. And the property hosts were very responsive. The check in process was a bit tricky given that it was via a virtual key that you received on the day of check in. Since we were traveling from the US we didn’t know what the data situation was going to be and we had a hard time downloading the app when we landed in Barcelona. It would have been nice to have that all done before we left and had a back up option in the event we couldn’t access on our phones especially since we arrived in the evening. Overall great apartment with a great location.

Excellent.

Check in was easy. Owners attentive and easy to get a hold of. Location is fabulous. Apartment is spacious with fridge, stove, and everything one needs. It was easy to get around as we walked everywhere. Grocery store is right beside the place. Highly recommend.

Great location, poor property management

The good: - The location is amazing. Right in the middle of the l'Eixample district so within easy walking distance of the Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta, El Raval. There are also many restaurants and markets nearby. In addition, there is a metro station nearby, making the rest of the city easily accessible. However, because of the central location it is very noisy, but we knew this going in based upon research and reviews. - The apartment is very spacious, especially for something so centrally located. - The shower has great water pressure and plenty of warm water. The bad: - The apartment had a very strong cigarette smell despite being advertised as non-smoking. - The apartment was infested with cockroaches. - The bed and pillows are some of the worst we've ever slept on. The pillows felt like sleeping on cinder blocks and the bed was hard as a board. - The property manager advertises as "A stay with us combines the privacy and comfort of your own home with the convenience and service of the finest hotels." Do not expect service of the finest hotels. You will not get it. On the night we arrived, in addition to being overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke, we immediately discovered that the bathroom sink would not drain. The next morning we contacted the property manager to let him know about the smell and broken sink. He said he'd send over his cleaning person that day to freshen up the apartment, but didn't acknowledge fixing the sink. His cleaning person did not show up until a day later, after we had to contact him again. Our second night we discovered the cockroaches in the bathroom. We immediately notified the property manager, to which the response was to send someone over to place some traps. We were there for 4 nights and no one ever came over to place the traps nor fix the bathroom sink. We eventually left the apartment and found a different place. Based upon our experience, I would not recommend booking any properties with "The Collection Barcelona".

Great Location !!

This property is located in a great part of the city with easy access to Barcelona's public transportation and is surrounded by cafes and restaurants. The pictures of the property are very true to life and we were pleased with the amount of space it offered for 4 of us. However, we did wish that it had been a little more setup for 4 (a sufficient amount of towels, toilet paper , sheets, and pillows was not provided).
