The Space:
Cummins and Goings Cottage has a stylish living room with a flat screen TV and log burner making it the ideal place to unwind with your loved ones. Herringbone flooring and a statement blue feature wall make this a really cosy place to relax.
The house has a spacious kitchen diner. Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has modern appliances and cookware. The dining area includes a dining table with four chairs. Outside there is a small yard area with outdoor furniture so you can enjoy your meals alfresco style too.
Upstairs on the first floor, youâll find two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and the second room is a twin.
The family bathroom has a spacious bath with overhead shower, WC and basin.
Cummins & Goings Cottage is directly next door to Castle View Cottage, and together both properties can accommodate up to eight guests. Please contact our friendly team to enquire about booking both properties together.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There is free parking on the premises for one car.
The Neighborhood:
Cummins & Goings Cottage is located in the historic market town of Barnard Castle. Featured within the Guardianâs â10 of the UKâs best small townsâ, there is something for everyone here. If you love to shop, the town has many antique shops so treasure seekers will be in their element. There are also lots of independent stores which you wouldnât see on the average high street. Take your pick of restaurants, cafes and pubs which serve lovely home-made food.
Barnard Castle is also known for its 12th century castle. The English Heritage property has great views over the Tees Gorge. You can try to spot Richard IIIâs boar emblem carved above the window in the inner ward or explore the sensory garden.
Getting Around:
The closest train station to Barnard Castle is Bishop Auckland which is served by trains to and from Darlington and Middlesbrough. A number of connecting routes can also be found from these stations so getting to other locations around the UK could not be easier.
There are a number of bus routes throughout Barnard Castle. Hop on the Arriva X76 or X75 which travels to Darlington.
