Awesome Lakeside Townhome corner unit with beautiful mountain views

Fantastic natural light throughout. Open floor plan with spacious kitchen and hardwood flooring. Large deck overlooking seasonal stream and lake. Walking distance to Whole Foods, bus stop, Rio Grande Trail, shopping and restaurants. Plenty of walking/hiking and biking trails out the front door!

**Note: this is a Pet friendly rental, so if you have pet allergies, you may want to reconsider!**

There is one assigned parking space and plenty of extra guest spaces.

The Willits neighborhood
- Willits Town Center is less than a mile away with plenty of shops and great restaurants
- El Jebel Shopping Center is across Highway 82
- Historic downtown Basalt has more fun shops and restaurants
- Whole Foods and City Market grocery stores are located 1-2 miles away.

Getting around - by car or bus (the local bus stop is a short walk away - for an easy ride to Aspen/Snowmass.)

Bus riders
The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority buses meet with connecting buses at the Brush Creek and Hwy 82 Lot (to travel to Snowmass Village or Woody Creek). There is a local stop (called Sagewood) 5 minutes from the townhome. Or use the Park-n-Ride in Basalt or El Jebel.

Skiing
There are 4 ski mountains towards Aspen.
Ajax (Aspen Mtn), Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass.
Sunlight mountain skiing is located in Glenwood Springs (a 40-minute drive).

Biking
There are numerous road and mountain biking trails nearby. The semi-flat Rio Grand Trail connects Aspen to Glenwood.

Glassier Trail is an intermediate/moderate trail you can hike, run, and mountain bike. ... This is a 1.6-mile dirt trail on the Glassier Open Space that links with The Crown in Basalt, CO. Prince Creek, also called the Prince Creek Trails, is a network of trails you can hike, run, and mountain bike that is dog friendly.

**Townhome Owner - lives part-time in the ground-level bedroom of the townhome (with a separate entrance through the garage) and does not use the guest areas (kitchen/living room and dining area), while you are there. There is a 3-panel wall divider - separating the guest's living room area from the downstairs

There is a $75 per visit pet fee. **Please keep your pets with you as much as possible, while not at home. Note: this is a townhome complex with close neighbors. If your pet is left at home with excessive barking, this may warrant the termination of your stay. Pets aren’t allowed on the furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on the furniture may incur extra cleaning fees.

Good stay overall, but the space is very clearly lived in (and vacated when guests reserve it). Every cupboard, pantry, and closet was full of the owners personal items. This also adds to a dynamic where Bonnie has very strict rules surrounding every little thing which made it harder to feel welcomed and settled. It felt strange knowing that this was their home. The fire alarm is finicky, and both nights that we cooked it went off even with little smoke/steam. It was a good location, but I don’t know that we will stay here again

Convenient & Comfortable

Convenient location for skiing at Snowmass. Within a couple miles of shops, restaurants, grocery stores. Comfortable beds. Older property but clean. Keep in mind this is a pet friendly rental. Some of the towels were tired but clean. All bathrooms are on the second floor - nicely stocked with necessary toiletries. . The "lake" is more of a pond than a lake so got a chuckle about that. Nice and quiet neighborhood - with the windows closed. Located near the highway so when we opened the windows, there was traffic noise. Overall an OK stay. More "lived in" than we usually rent. Check-in/check-out process easy.

Nice quiet location

Enjoyed our stay at this nice townhome in a quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Our dog enjoyed the off leash area at the nearby park. The central location allowed us to enjoy all that the valley has to offer.

Auntie's house

It felt as we were staying at a relative's home while they were out of town. Little tricks to using things like holding door tight for it to lock, showers needed special touch to have best water pressure. Live plants made it feel like home. Lot's of board games in the cabinets for family game nights. Beds were comfortable. Neighbors friendly.

Great last stay on our Colorado road trip!

We really enjoyed staying at Bonnie's property, it had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, which we like since we cook a lot on vacation and the location was great and close to a newer shopping complex with restaurants and grocery stores. We wish we would have gotten a better view of the mountains, but the small lake in the back was really nice and great for our dog to swim in. The beds were very comfy and it was nice to have access to a washer/dryer at the end of our trip. The unit was a bit dated, but still clean. Bonnie was super responsive and got back to us if we ever had any questions.

Great place!

This was a great place for our short visit to the Basalt area. I appreciated being in a condominium where the host family also lives/stays because it felt more homey and thoughtful. - not sparse like some places are. Very convenient location - walking distance to the commercial center for groceries, restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely townhome, convenient

I had a nice time staying at Bonnie's townhome in El Jebel. It was super convenient to the freeway, groceries (Whole Foods), and restaurants. It was really clean. I'd say the downside for me was the highway noise and it was warm upstairs, despite the fans. I enjoyed it as a base for the week, but as I really value having a quiet place, so I'd probably choose something else the next time. That being said, Bonnie's is clean & updated and really convenient to everything.

Satisfactory Property...Good Location for this Stay...Good Price

Good location for us, given that we were there for Aspen Food & Wine, and our friends lived in the subdivision across the highway. Communication with Bonnie was exceptional. Check in was very easy. You still have to drive to places to eat or to catch the RFTA bus. Definitely not as walkable as you might think. There were some mountain views if you looked out of one window, but they were not integral to the townhome. It was warm, so we had windows open, and road noise was significant...very close to the CO-82 highway, a major thoroughfare. If you are expecting a resort-grade townhome, you will be disappointed. Wear & tear is noticeable, and there was evidence that the owner uses the property regularly (toothpaste stains and oral care items in bathroom drawers, older silverware, older linens, piles of laundry in baskets in the laundry area, owners food in the refrigerator). Property finishes are primarily builder-grade, and somewhat dated, going back to the 90s to early 2000s (I think)...most likely when the house was built. Heavy water stains in both bathrooms noted. Layers of dust and some stains were noted on vents, electronic items, and much of the trim throughout the townhome. Bathroom linens were tired. The only kitchen appliance we used was the coffeemaker, which worked fine. In summary, a great host who made the property available as promised. Property interior shows wear & tear, and needs a facelift. To be fair, this was the first time we ever used VRBO, so this may be the norm, we do not know. In the end, it was okay for what we needed, but will look for other options first next time.

Good location

We chose this location as home base for Maroon Bells and Hanging Lake hikes and it worked out well. We did have some difficulty with the lock to enter but it was quickly resolved. We would stay again.

Awesome STay

Bonnie was so flexible and was very nice about the communications I had with some uncertain travel plans. Great little condo with everything we needed and loved the view of the lake. The dogs enjoyed all the walking trails and her neighbor was lovely as well!

Fantastic Trip

We had a great experience at Bonnie's place. Bonnie went above & beyond in terms of communication. There were wildfires in the area before our stay and Bonnie was great about answering questions and addressing concerns. And Basalt was a great central location for all activities in the area.
