We had a great experience staying at the Schweitzerhof Basel! We found breakfast to be quite good , the staff extremely helpful and friendly and the bed was very comfortable. It is just a few yards from the central train station, which was very convenient, as we arrived by train and its quite well located to walking around the alt stadt.

This is a great hotel - perfect if being near the main station/transport is important. It’s a very traditional place in terms of decor but everything was immaculate and well looked after - our room was really spacious and even had an exercise bike which we weren’t expecting! The staff were all lovely and super helpful.

Lovely Swiss hotel with atttentive staff. Room was very nice - comfy bed, lots of pillows. The AC worked wonderfully despite temps over 90°F and being on the fifth floor. Great breakfast. Proximity to public transportion was key for our busy, compressed schedule and so easy to use. The BaselPass saved us hundreds of dollars on cabs.

Great stay. Only one minor issue — the AC did not provide quite enough cooling. The staff provided a floor fan which met our needs. Would definitely stay here again.
