We had a wonderful stay at the Abbey Hotel Bath. The location is unbeatable-right in the heart of the city and perfect for exploring all that Bath has to offer. The staff were absolutely amazing; friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. One thing to note - soom rooms require the use of stairs, so if you mobility issues, it's worth checking with the hotel in advance to ensure a more accessible option. Overall, a charming stay with excellent service

We booked a King Room at Abbey Hotel Bath through Expedia, advertised with proper in-room air conditioning. Instead, we were first placed in a basement room with no AC at all. After complaining, we were moved to a smaller standard room with only a portable unit venting through the window. It was noisy, ineffective, and nothing like what was promised. This was misleading advertising. Expedia showed photos and descriptions of King Rooms with AC, yet we were downgraded and left uncomfortable. What made it worse is that Expedia offered no real help when we reported the issue. Both the hotel and Expedia failed to deliver what was advertised, and our trip was ruined. Guests should be cautious—what you see on Expedia may not be what you get.

Good side: well located in the city centre . The breakfast and afternoon tea were of very good quality. The catering staff were very friendly and helpful. Bad side: very small rooms for our party (Room 206 and Room 208). On the first night we were checked into those tiny rooms with a small double bed pushed against the side wall with a window. I had to climb in and out of bed over my partner, disturbing all constantly. Besides, the room is so small that there is only about less than two meter space from the door to the bed. Upon our request we were offered another larger room for the second night, but the tiny room is not something you expect as a standard double room almost £200 per night. Service Quality: very mixed bag. The catering staff were really smashing, However, our stay was almost ruined by one of the receptionists with a very unfriendly, cold and unhelpful attitude,

I loved my 4 night stay here. Perfect location. Walked to train station in 5 minutes Tours met outside this hotel Lots of restaurants right outside. Hotel smelled amazing, I never waited for the lift. They gave me an early check in. I booked a double for just me, and it was a quite small room..2 people and suitcases would be tight. But extremely comfortable bed and great housekeeping Would definitely recommend

Staff was friendly and helpful! They do have a lift. Can’t get a better location!!! Well decorated, beds comfortable, floors a little wonky but it’s an old building. Would be my top choice to stay in Bath!

The hotel was very clean and staff was super friendly. The location was so perfect, very central to the Roman bathes and abbey hotel. The only negative is parking was relatively far away, the rooms sometimes required stairs and was difficult to navigate for older people with baggage, and needing the key card for lights was confusing without instructions. Overall, the stay was wonderful!! Definitely would recommend.

Stayed in room 001which we were pleasantly surprised was a very dog friendly room. Provided with a dog bed, bowl and a private, secure courtyard area for our pup to explore (and use) safely. Lovely shower room. Bedding and towels (ours) top quality and fresh. However, the mattress on our bed was bloody awful. So uncomfortable, we barely slept. However, we were only there for one night, so being deprived of sleep for one night didn't detract from our lovely visit. Would go back to the Abbey hotel. Staff were helpful and professional. But wouldn't stay in that room again (unless the mattress was changed)

Central Location in Bath

The Abbey Hotel is conveniently located in Bath, just at the start of the pedestrian area of the city, a few steps from the Roman Baths and Abbey. Our room was comfortable, and we enjoyed the generous breakfast at a very reasonable price.
