We enjoyed being “ in the woods” and just out of town. The owners do a lot to make it cozy and homelike.

Nice cabin but had some issues
The cabin is beautiful inside but we were dissatisfied with the overall experience. We only stayed 2 nights and it was a good place to stay but when we first got there the upstairs bedroom lights were burnt out so you could barley see up stairs and getting to the cabin later at night made it a little difficult. The second night we had water leaking in the downstairs bathroom, the owner came to look at it and told us it must have been from us taking a shower and not closing the shower curtain, then right when we were sitting down for dinner, a maintenance guy comes knocking on the door asking us to move the cars so he could pump out the tank, as it was almost overflowing. We thought that was weird being that the owner never told us this guy was gonna show up and he told us nothing was wrong. We took showers after that and there was no leak. The property was also not the cleanest, there was an open bar of soap in the downstairs bathroom and the wrapper was on the ground. The plus is that Roy’s Point marina is within walking distance and they have a nice beach and fire pit that you can use. We spent a day on Madeline Island going kayaking and that was fun! Lots of nice beaches in the area and a cute little town. You can easily take the ferry over to the island and go explore the Island.
