Once in our room, we used the toilet and it backed up. Called the front desk and told them. It was two men. The one on the line was relaying things to another guy. The other guy said to tell me I could come down and get a plunger. I asked for maintenance and was told that they would be in tomorrow. There was a barking dog two doors down and this was at 9:00 at night!! They did put us in another room. There were stains on the wall by the nightstand and headboard area where someone may have spilled a drink. Forget the shower!! There is a one-inch gap the length of the door and it won't stay closed. We used a washcloth to hold it closed. The water leaked out from the shower into a small puddle on the floor. It's obvious from the water damage to the floor, molding and grout. This place was nasty, but you get what you pay for. On check out, the three ladies that were there were very nice. Breakfast is a joke, if you even want to call it breakfast.

The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and professional when we arrived. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, but an open for a queen size bed over a full size. Breakfast service was as advertised. I loved that housekeeping was given Christmas off. I would stay again.

The staff were wonderful there. We had a problem with the TV after we got all settled in, and we had to move to another room. One staff helped us to move. The breakfast was a waste of time. Terrible.

I guess I should have expected to get what I paid for, really. The cleanliness of the room was hard to determine since the property is old. The beds were so-so. There was no way to get soft drinks, or more importantly, water, from the vending machine, since the card reader would not work, and the machine would not take dollar bills. The person working the desk had less than $2 in quarters. The water was necessary because the water from the faucet was not clear, and I wish I could attach the photo I have, but there was no way I was going to drink the water. The climate control in the room did not work. Overall, it was a very utilitarian place to stay for one night on a road trip. I hope all Sleep Inns are not like this one, but I will not be risk finding out.
