Very good hotel, quick check in chech out. Just a bit slow in remaking the room and not very perfect WC functioning, but overall positive comments, also for the very convenient location and the very good Gym. The pool unfortunately does not seem very clean, due to the attendees spitting in and outside the water
I had a very good 8-day stay. Ideal location with the subway (Exit D) really close the entrance of the hotel and near the shops and restaurants of Sanlitun. As an avid swimmer, I often choose hotels depending on the pool; well here, unfortunately, the pool is quite small and the water temperature is way too high and, if one swims a bit, it gets exhausting and nauseating. Also, the fitness center did not provide shower towels, the attendant asked me both times to get the towel from my room.... a bit unusual. Despite these little disappointments, the room was comfortable and quiet so I will gladly return to this hotel in my future visits to Beijing.
Was there for business.
The service is horrible and the room VERY dirty.
I checked in after a 15 mn wait standing at the lobby. Not even a smile or a hello from the receptionist. Arrived to my room, wich smelled like sweat. On the toilet seat there was dried urine. The bathroom ground was sticky. The ground on my room had not been properly cleaned (there was some cereals on the ground). I went to the lobby to report that and they not even excused, it seemed normal to them and they said they would send someone to clean. This person arrived 2 hours afterwards, and only cleaned half of the dried urine on the toilet, and not the ground or the carpet.
The room confort is very poor and badly planned. The entrance light has to be turned on from the left side of the bed (??). The room light has to be turned on from the bed. The room is dark.
When you go back at night you have prostitutes bothering on the hotel lobby. The spa service has to be paid. Swimming pool is dirty and people entering with shoes to the swimming pool. The overall feeling is that hotel was planned to be 4 or 5 stars but the administration is poorly done.
Neighborhood was fine and close to my meetings. You have western and chinese restaurant on a 10 mn range walking.
Needs some renovation, but can't beat the location
This hotel has been around for a long time, and you can tell from the aging carpet and flooring.. But they kept clean and pleasing for the most part. The room is not big, but big enough so that you don't feel cramped.
The location is absolutely the best. Subway station is right downstairs and within walking distance is arguably one of the busiest commercial district in modern Beijing. Try to avoid commuting by car from this location in rush hour though.
One very nice detail is that they have a digital scale in the room. This is very handy for travelers with checked baggage and I'm not sure why other hotels don't do the same..
Wifi is spotty.
For the price I paid, the condition of the room was appalling. The carpet was absolutely filthy. The carpet was actually sticky! I have stayed in $6 hotels that had cleaner floors. The lobby was fine. The boys at the concierge desk wanted to be helpful, but their English was very limited. The check-in staff wasn't exceptionally friendly. I never saw them smile once. I was satisfied with the location of the hotel. It is right next to a subway station entrance, and the fun options of the Sanlitun area. I wouldn't recommend the hotel until it gets a remodeled, though.
