property was very nice, staff were very helpful Unfortunately they had a lack of awareness of Coeliac disease and gave my girlfriend gluten which made her very ill for several days and necessitated blood tests on her return to the UK

A Pleasant Stay

Nice hotel with maybe a French decor for bedroom. Great restaurant with very nice seating options and great views. The only downside is that the bedroom had a horrible view of a brick wall for the adjacent building!

Beautiful hotel suite. We'll stocked for a comfortable stay. Views of the ocean was spectacular! The roof top dining was very good and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. The biggest downfall was the construction going on at the hotel.

Nice hotel with specious room and comfortable bed. We did reserve a room with a king size bed, but were given a room with 2 queens. I didn't realize until the morning we checked out that we had reserved a room with a king, so I did not mention this to the staff. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Vino Tinto. The food was good and the portion size was more than adequate (I had the breakfast burrito). The wait staff were attentive. The one negative thing I want to bring up is the noise level. The hallways outside the rooms are all stone (I am guessing that carpet doesn't work well in a warm and humid environment like Belize) and because of this, the sound is amplified when people pass by in the hallway, especially if they are talking. There is also construction going on, as it appears the hotel is expandong. There was a faint banging noise, but the windows seemed to keep out a good portion of the noise. The construction workers started at 7 AM.the day we were there. This is a pretty quiet area and there are not a lot of choices for dining nearby, other than Vino Tinto, Celebrity Bar and Grill and Midpoint Bar and Grill. Midpoint was descent. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

We decided to splurge on a hotel for our last night in Belize. This hotel had really high ratings, so we booked. Our room’s cement splattered windows looked out on a construction zone, just a few metres away from our 4th floor room, despite rooms across the hall having an ocean view. We booked months ago, so we were surprised both by the room we were assigned, and by the lack of any offered compensation for this disappointing situation. We couldn’t open our window due to noise and frankly the proximity of the work crews. The shuttle drivers wee great, but apart from that, this hotel was a huge disappointment.

Delayed but not forgotten

Staff were great and attentive to our needs. We arrived a few minutes early, was checked in but, could not to our room because of a problem that was repaired. The staff made sure we understood what was happening in real time. It was suggested we have a drink in the restaurant which is very nice, located on the 5th floor with a view of the ocean. In a very short while our room key was brought to us and luggage was already delivered to our room. The hotel is very clean and staff very helpful and supportive.

What a wonderful hotel! The Jr. Suite was spacious, the food in the restaurant was delicious and plentiful, the transportation to the airport was timely and comfortable. On top of all that every staff interaction was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Belize City.
