This is the perfect place to stay if you want to spend time in downtown Bend or on the Deschutes River. There's no better home base for exploring the outdoors than right here. This is Unit 120/121, A.K.A "Pioneer Perk" of the Pioneer Park Condos, a short 10-minute walk to the heart of downtown and 2 minutes to the Deschutes River and trails.
The condo is divided into two areas (hence the two unit numbers). Because they are close to the river and downtown, the Pioneer Park Condominiums were originally built in the late 1970s as a condominium hotel, or "condotel," until the HOA changed course decades ago to become a collection of private condos.Â

Enjoyed the condo and canât beat location. If you want to cook or prepare your meals, I highly suggest that you bring your own pots and pans as there isnât much available.
Property was totally fine - nice to be able to walk downtown and the river. I would describe it as a little tired, but good value. I would probably remove the washer / dryer from the listing or be more specific that it is not in unit and is quarter operated. That was a bummer as I forewent laundry at previous location because I thought it would be easier here. The property managers were great and responsive.
This is not a bad spot. It is clean, great location/proximity to everything.
The unfortunate part for our experience was that the fireplace was not working, and while there are the cadet heaters and mini splits, it was cold. We called the property manager and they could not get the fireplace fixed during our stay, and honestly, it appeared to not have been working properly for quite some time. Summer time, no biggee but Winter, it is a thing.
There is an indoor pool that is literally steps away from this location but not accessible. We were told we could stand outside and see if anyone would let us in. Not exactly what we were going for. The listing did not say pool, however, when it is right there, hard not to think it isnât part of the same property.
