Nice hotel and great area

Great hotel with very nice rooms, great buffet breakfast. One of the few hotels still offering smoked salmon as part of the breakfast options as of May ‘25. Hotel is also right across the street from the central train station, a plus if traveling by rail. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the start of all the tourist attractions.

Modern and convenient

Very convenient for the station and central Berlin. Modern , well equipped, friendly and helpful staff,good sized rooms. Very pleased we chose there for our Berlin stay

Overall, I really like the hotel, the location next to the train station and the view of the German 'Regierungsbezirk', as well as the rooms, the sauna and the bar. This time I was disappointed about the lack of VIP recognition, problems with parking (the garage of the Steigenberger was full) and an annoying sound in my room that I reported. But the staff was very nice, though they did not manage to get a technician to come until the second day (sound went away for a few hours but came back). The bar was packed because the restaurant is closed and I left after waiting for over 15 minutes to order a drink.

Great Location and Good Value!

Great place to stay and was extremely convenient to walk to and from the train station. I definitely plan to stay here again in the future during my next trip to Berlin.

If you’re reading this review and you’re on the fence about staying at the Steinenberger, save your time and just book it. I’m an avid review reader and am here to say that words cannot describe how amazing our stay was!!! You step outside the Hauptbahnhof (on the side with the Rewe to boot) and you’re already there. The grounds were gorgeous and felt super safe. We were greeted by Onur (spelling?) and the residential robot cat, Ella. I’ve never walked into a hotel so happy, and we walked up to the room even happier. Onur might be the best concierge we have ever met. What an amazing representation of your awesome city—recommending personalized sites for us to see that transcend the typical Berlin experience as well as recommended food and convenient spots near the hotel we’d need to know. He was beyond delightful and set the stage for the next two days. The rooms? Immaculate. Virtually silent. Completely spotless, beautiful lighting. We didn’t really have a view, but didn’t really need one thanks to jet lag. We enjoyed several hours of Bernd das Brot on the tv. The bed was unbeLIEVABLY comfortable. If we were in any other city I’d had just stayed in bed all day. The soft pillow changed my life. The bathroom was swanky and beautiful,…the SHOWER?! Water pressure was supreme, temperature, impeccable. Housekeeping was awesome. I’m getting cut short here but have to say this hotel really set off Berlin for us. It breaks my heart to leave. You can’t go wrong with this hotel!

We had a great stay, the hotel is a two minute walk next to the train station in a nice and quiet area, while also within walking distance of all the main attractions especially the Reichstag Building and Brandenberg Gate. Staff are very friendly, friendly, polite and welcoming. The hotel was modern, very clean with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, all the amenities needed and a great shower - loved the separate toilet cubicle area too. Overal a great stay.

Flawless Stay

I stayed 1 night here a suite in early March. When I travel, I always look for hotels to review that have something special, most importantly the views, as I shoot timelapses and this hotel had a great view of the front of the station. On checking in the staff were flawless, the suite 377 was near the elevator so fantastic, the suite itself was amazing, with sliding doors to totally separate the bedroom from the living room, in case you have guests using the sofa bed in the living room they can use the 2nd toilet without disturbing you. Gym was a decent size with fantastic views, sadly I didn’t get to try the sauna and steam room as I had to commit to other content creation outside the hotel but hope to return later this year. I looked at a Deluxe twin room to compare and was impressed, a luxurious, modern, decent sized, comfortable room with a Nespresso machine, and at a very reasonable rate, you don’t get that anywhere else! I was blown away by breakfast, the choice was massive! One of the largest buffets I’ve seen outside Vegas, and it was quality food too! The salami was super lean, sausages, roast potatoes, fried tomatoes excellent, and that crispy bacon, just the best, I really do love crispy bacon and very few hotels serve that Since I started doing hotel reviews seriously I’ve become rather critical, noticing things that I would previously ignore and I have to say from arrival to leaving, everything was perfect, so much so that I looked companies other establishments.
