Canal Front Home w/ Dock & Fence. 5 Min walk to the beach! Pet Friendly w/fee

Lovely water views from this 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath canal front home that is a 5 min. walk to the beach! Home features a huge 26' x 32' screened porch with ice maker, and furniture for 12-16. There is a nice outdoor shower, and separate Master Bedroom/bath with a private wrap around screened porch upstairs. Has a dishwasher, washer/dryer, gas stove, A/C, Gas BBQ, boat dock & opportunity to enjoy both Bay side and the beach. Sleeps 7. Weekly rentals and partial week rentals. Pets welcome with $110 pet fee.

Please note that you will need to bring your own linens and that the upstairs master bedroom and bath are separate from the main level living, with a private entrance.

Mid May- Mid September rentals go through Sandcastle Reality in South Bethany. All other dates reservations can be made through VRBO.

Included with the regular house cleaning fee, our cleaners will either wipe with a disinfectant cloth or spray with an aerosol cleaner, all high touch surface areas. For an additional fee of $150, we can offer a mist disinfectant service that puts charged particles into the air that will cover all surface areas and kills Covid 19. It is odorless, takes minutes to dry and is safe for pets and people. If you would like this additional service, please indicate that in your reservation email, and I will send you the link for the additional fee, and schedule it for you.

House was great, outside screened-in patio was even better. It was a great location, close to beach and quiet, easy to relax, but a short drive to anything you wanted. Meg was awesome and responded very quickly to anything we needed.

Pros‱ Location is fantastic! Could not ask for better! Quiet area, quick walk to beach. ‱ Fence was sturdy & secure & under the porch was blocked off.‱ Screened porch with the heater was great.‱ The upstairs bedroom suite has a nicer bed, nice view & appears to be newer.‱ Water pressure is excellent & water is hot!‱ All communications with property owner were timely.Cons‱ Unfortunately the cleaning folks do the bare minimum! The house needs a thorough cleaning and bedding & sofa covers need replacing. It is definitely not washed after each guest. ‱ The floor of the house is very wonky, I'd be concerned if there was someone with mobility issues.‱ The furniture is uncomfortable. Queen bed, sofas, porch furniture. It's just old & worn.In the queen bedroom...‱ the bedding was stained and covered with pet hair. The mattress pad & pillow covers are also stained & look very unclean & ratty.‱ There are dust bunnies & dirt under the bed.‱ There is no hanging space in the closet, just one over the door hanger. ‱ There is one small dresser, it wasn't enough so we lived out of our suitcases.‱ No fault of the homeowner but previous guests didn't pick up after their dogs.‱ The upstairs bathroom has a rigged up shower curtain liner because the walk-in shower has no door.‱ The bathroom needed to be cleaned better, hair on the ceiling and a wad of TP behind the toilet.‱ In the pics there's a Keurig & coffee maker, brought k-cups only to find out there is no Keurig.

This house would have been perfect if it was a little cleaner. The host was perfect - had an issue with the televisions when we got there and it was handled promptly.Loved that it was pet friendly. My babies loved the yard and the beach. Beach just a 5-minute walk. We grilled out and the grill worked great.The kitchen was nice - microwave in a high, weird space. Had everything I needed (bring your own kitchen towels).A little disappointed in the cleanness of the unit. Floors definitely were not cleaned before our arrival (we could tell by our socks).I think with a little upgrade on the cleaning, this would be a great place to enjoy your vacation.

Great getaway!

The Purple Pearl was a fantastic spot for a weekend getaway with our kids and dog. Lots of space, great location, and the large screened in porch was amazing! We usually stay in Ocean City during our trips to the beach, but we would definitely visit this house in Bethany again.

Out of season oasis

My husband, pup and I stayed at the Purple Pearl for Thanksgiving and it was everything we hoped for. We spent alot of time on the porch under the heater and on the dock when it was warm. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our feast. The beach is so close, we walked there multiple times a day. We hope to spend time here again soon.

Great off-season visit to Bethany

The Purple Pearl is a lovely house in a great location in South Bethany. Even off season we enjoyed the amazing screened patio (with infrared heater!). The house was comfortable and had everything we needed as a family.

Brooks' 1st vacation

Great location as far as proximity to beach, right on canal, convenient to everything, the calm between Rehobeth and Ocean City! Unfortunately, we did not get full use of the wonderful screened porches, as the weather was more winter-like! House is dated, but a great value at the rate. Dirty dishes in dishwasher, not sure it works too good. Remotes for everything but the commodes! Fenced yard was the absolute perfect setup for our lab pup! Only treed/shaded lot on the street must be awesome in summer weather! Once our hosts got the heat on for us, we enjoyed our 1st vacation in 5 years comfortably! Listing and amenities is accurate, gas grill with xtra tank for outdoor cooking, crab pot on dock (not running till mid-June I was told). Good food reviews from Bethany Blues, Matt's Fish Camp in Fenwick, and Buck a Shuck oysters just north of Bethany on bayside! Bob, Kay & Brooks

Bon Voyage (Uterus) Tour ‘24

It. Is. FABULOUS!!!!! & if you play your cards right, you never need to go indoors :) The deck
. oh. em. geeeez! Sincerely, we used only the deck for most of the weekend. More seating than you can fathom. Outdoor smart TV. Infrared heater. Rope lights. Separate beverage fridge. Disco ball, lol! Magnetic door- screens to avoid the bugs, if ya don’t like buggies
 Our 4-legged girls looooooved the fenced back yard! 
 ok, maybe mommy/ daddy liked it a liiiitle bit more ‘cause the girls could roam freely & we didn’t need to be a helicopter furbaby parent lol The upstairs master area is a dream as well- big screened in porch! The nature sounds lulled us to sleep every night :) Ceiling heater in the upstairs bathroom too- it came in handy during our rainy cool weekend. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Bring spices if you are a bit more culinarily advanced. Dishwasher & a ginormo cutting board! Gas grill just outside the deck! I honestly don’t know how our hosts let anyone else use it- I would never leave. It was perfect for our weekend- before- surgery. My brains feel relaxed & ready :)

Purple Pearl was a Pleasure!

Property was exactly as listed and very comfortable. The screened in porch was perfect, even on chilly days, it was a great place to take a nap! The yard was fenced, which was perfect for the dog! Would definitely rent again!

Keep coming back!

This was our second year staying at this fabulous rental. This time we brought King sized sheets so we could enjoy the upstairs bedroom. I officially need a King sized bed in my life. I also love that it is separated from the rest of the house since my Husband goes to bed late and I get up early! Huge fan of the fenced in yard for our pup!!! Will be renting again next year if this is available during the convention <3

Anniversary Getaway

This is an awesome property! The house is perfect for what we needed. My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days for our anniversary but of course wanted to bring the dogs as well. The dogs loved the back yard area as well as us. Fenced in area that allowed them to roam while we enjoyed the outside porch area. The chilly days/evenings were nice with the touch of the heater on the porch. The house had pretty much everything you needed to live and more. Would recommend this to anyone and will be booking again in the future.

Great location and cool house on a quiet street and canal! Minutes from the beach!

We loved our stay at The Purple Pearl! Great house minutes from the beach! It has a main house then the master suite upstairs separate from the house. The porches are huge overlooking the canal. They have anything and everything you could think of at the house. The only cons we saw were: the place wasn't as clean as we expected. Pretzels on the couch (behind the pillows), the master bedroom's walls by the headboard were pretty dusty and I couldn't get the shower door open without almost breaking it. So I had to take a shower downstairs. The owner has a cleaning crew so the cleanliness is not the owner's fault. She was very nice and communicative and accommodating. Overall, we would have no problem staying here again! Hopefully we can stay when it's warmer outside to fully enjoy the backyard and beach. Meg & DJ are great hosts with a very cool house! Thank you so much!

Just what the doctor ordered

We needed a place to stay for the week to be close to my parents during a hospital stay. The house was perfect for our needs. We took our dog and the fenced in yard made it easy for him to go out. The primary bedroom location allowed us to have privacy while we worked. While this wasn’t necessarily a vacation we couldn’t have asked for better accommodations.

Perfect R&R getaway

The Purple Pearl was exactly what my family needed. We wanted and needed a stress free Christmas this year and this rental delivered. Upon arrival we were greeted with a lit tree that truly made my day. The owners were always quick to respond to any questions we had - even with it being a holiday weekend. Highly recommend renting the Purple Pearl.
