Good Vibes Overall
Weâve been going to Sea Colony for 1-2 weeks each summer for over 35 years, so I have many experiences to draw upon to make a valid review.
To begin, the condo is nicely decorated, and has an airy feeling to it when you first walk in. Itâs bright and cheerful, other than the window coverings in the two guest rooms on the first floor (more on that later). Overall, though, the condo has good vibes!
All of the bathrooms were beautifully done, and the showers have good water pressure for those who value that info.
The Master bedroom was spacious. However, the guest rooms are fairly small (ish)âŠ.especially the room with the French doors and the loft. It was very difficult to walk around the bed to use the closet and dresser in the room with the French doors. And, as previously mentioned, the window coverings in this room are dark and heavy. They make the room feel smaller and a little depressing when closedâŠ.not very âbeachy.â
In the loft, if you use both of the trundles, then expect to be walking on each other to move around. Very tight quarters. Speaking of the loft, you need to be careful when using the spiral staircase, as the railing is plastic and very wobbly. At some point, one of two things will happen: a guest will lean on it and fall (lawsuit these days), or a guest will just lean on it and break it (damage fee). Neither scenario is fun for anyone.
The kitchen was also modern and cheery, with all new appliances, even down to the blender and cookware. We have stayed in some places where such things have been heavily used/old and not very appealing to make use of for the family.
The balcony has a beautiful view, but it is between buildings so it is limited to seeing the beach and poolâŠ.again, still a beautiful view, but worth a mention for those who like to have a panoramic view. Two plastic chairs await you, but no table. Truth be told, the balcony is a little disappointing and not very comfortable/welcoming.
Finally, and directed to the property management company, please take a little more time cleaning. When we looked under the sofa cushions to see if it was a sleeper, it clearly had not been vacuumed. There was a bunch of sand, in addition to a dirty sock. The stairs to the loft were also sandy, and there were also crumbs on the stovetop and in the microwave.
Again, positive vibes throughout the condo and it was well worth the visit. Oh, and the owners kindly left a gift card to DD! Thank you!!
