The LakeView: Crystal Lake Living at Its Best
Looking for the perfect getaway? The LakeView is the destination for you! Located across the street from beautiful Crystal Lake, this charming home offers 4 bedrooms each with a dedicated full bath and a fully stocked kitchen. While there is no direct lake access, enjoy nightly lakeview sunsets from the porch, and the public beach in Beulah is only one short mile away! Centrally located to all Northern Michigan offers - boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, hiking, Crystal Mountain skiing, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, Traverse City, and many championship golf courses. LakeView is the ideal spot to have fun or to just relax.
Old farmhouse with lots of charm. Wonderful large family room on first floor. Great location for access to Sleeping Bear Dunes, in view of Crystal Lake.
We stayed as a family with 3 young children while a parent completed the Ironman- the house was wonderful for that! The distance to Frankfort was entirely doable, the view of Crystal Lake was stunning especially at sunset, and the home itself had tremendous charm. For anyone with mobility issues that cannot handle stairs, there is no bathroom on the main floor. Not an issue for us!
Janet forgot to forward the check-in info so we were unable to check in on time. I was able to reach her within an hour and get the code for the key lockbox. Warning: the code is for one-time use only!
My group was visiting the area for a short golf trip to Arcadia and Crystal Downs. This cottage was an ideal location between the two properties.
This cottage is reminiscent of a quaint inn or B&B. Comfortable beds, no shortage of amenities, and clean throughout. The hostess was clear and concise on check in, and gave me some great recommendations on local restaurants in Frankfort.
The next time weâre fortunate enough to visit the area, Iâll be sure to request this again.
Charming! We had a wonderful stay and loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The coffee/tea bar was fantastic. Living room so cozy with the fireplace!
This 4 Bedroom house was adorable!! Very well kept. 4 older couples who came to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City. We found this house to be relaxing and has great gathering areas in the dining area and living room. There are no bathrooms on the main floor, only upstairs. We loved the coffee bar. The host was very easy to work with . Definitely would recommend.
This was our groupsâ second stay, it is a perfect place for 4 couples. The new coffee bar is great addition. Great location, great space for gathering, as we stayed in winter. Kitchen was great, owner responsive to our questions/needs. Would stay again!
Check in/check out very easy. Listing is as described. So much character & cute details in this historical home!! Everything very clean. Great coffee/hot chocolate bar! All bathrooms & bedrooms are upstairs, that might be an issue for some but wasnât for us. Great stay - thank you!!
We were a group of 4 couples who came to do a triathlon race in Frankfort. It was a very comfortable and quiet location not too far away. We all enjoyed the location including the view of Crystal Lake
Daughters came from Florida, Texas and Michigan to reminisce childhood vacations on Crystal Lake. Lakeview is perfect for gathering around the fire , inside and out. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Will return, if possible. Thank you , Bob, Lynn and Family
We had a great time! While it was a short drive to Beulah beach, we did many other beaches and a ton of other things locally. The house isnât super updated, but it worked well for our family especially for the price. We will be back!
Our group was four couples up for parents ski racing weekend at Crystal Mountain. The mountain was only 15 minute drive, the house was perfect for 4 couples-each with their own bathroom. The galley kitchen was snug for multiple cooks, but large enough, dining room worked well with group; sitting room/entry with large living area was perfect for dinner/apps/games. We used the outdoor fire pit. Had dinner at the Birch and Maple, in Frankfort, very good food and service. Only having one key was challenge for group, entry code on actual door would be simpler. Dish towels in kitchen would have made cleanup easier, otherwise awesome place to stay! Our contact, Janet, was very responsive and helpful-thanks so much!
This house has so much character and charm. The attention to detail was on point, we absolutely loved the decor and the personality of the house itself (possibly the cleanest VRBO home we have ever stayed in!). The kitchen was very well stocked with quality meal time essentials - definitely not a hodge podge of things "left behind" from previous visitors. Close to the downtown area and a convenient location to stay for skiing at Crystal Mountain.
A couple things to note:
-There is no bathroom on the main floor.
-The home was built in the late 1800's, so some of the charm comes from the quirks of an older home. Showers are relatively small, etc.
-No public access for Crystal Lake across the street (as viewed in the picture on the listing).
-The listing says the house is 3746 square feet. However, part of the house remains behind locked doors with no access for guests. If the size of the house is important for a large group, keep this in mind.
We had a wonderful stay and all agree we would return!
