The property has potential. The location is convenient. I love that there isn’t a min. stay requirement. I stayed here to see family visiting Big Bear from another state. I only needed 1 night & this property was able to accommodate that. Check in was not until 3pm. When I arrived at 3:45, I was told my room was being cleaned & to come back in an hour. Rough with 2 babies, but ok. The front desk was apologetic & offered a later checkout than the standard 11am. Once I finally checked into my room, the first thing I noticed was that the lock on the door was not very secure & the door had obviously been kicked in at one point. The inside frame was visibly broken & being held together with a few random nails. I also noticed that there was moldy coffee in the coffee pot, a used sponge on the kitchen sink, old food in the fridge & the counter tops/sink were full of old food crumbs. Clearly, the extra hour after my check in time was not used for cleaning. I thought about trying to find another room, but my kids were ready for bed & the room was really just a place to sleep, so I let it go. A few minutes after settling, I went to turn on the shower to bathe my kids & found hair surrounding the shower drain, then noticed the room we booked for 4 people only had 1 bath towel & 1 hand towel. My husband went to the front desk to request another towel & was told “the dryer is broken this is all we have”. The employee gave him a pile of bath floor mats. Parking is also very limited.
