The property is cute and perfect for my husband, 3 year old and myself with our dog. The yard is huge and perfect for us since we get to play with the dog but still feel like were out in nature. The reasons why I didn't give a 5 star review is because I asked for an early check in and they let me know that they can't guarantee it but will let me know when the house is ready and traditional check in was at 4pm. We ended up not getting a text at all. I texted the number past 4pm and no response so I called and they had to look it up and the response was "oh yea, its ready for you now". Once arriving to the house, there were 3-4 big dog poops that I had to pick up in the back yard. The couch also didn't have back cushions which made it really uncomfortable to sit and watch TV.

No plugs except being used for the few things already plugged in. Got to property couldn't get in, Maintenance showed up. Doorknob was jammed and hard to open. once opened he just left, Wife could not open door the entire stay, first hour there was a woman standing on our driveway with a dog. My dogs approached her dog I asked her to leave as she then told me "I live here" The driveway is a very unsafe narrow driveway. Not for full-sized trucks at all. Was not to satisfied with the place will never use Cool cabins ever again. Not happy with my stay or the response to my reporting of a stranger on the driveway not even a call only by text. Coffee pot and no place to plug it in except to sit it on the stove pull out a plug to plug in the pot. no where to charge phones plug anything in. Plug by front door will not hold a plug, Keeps falling out when trying to use. Nice bed and comfortable room temp. nice large back yard, The charging people 50 to take away trash that should be included in the cleaning fee, Doing the dishes should be in the cleaning fee. How do you know that the last customers really washed the dishes properly. I not knowing this when I found this out during my stay i then had to wash anything we used before using. I could go on but why. Your solution is to offer 15% discount on my next stay that will never happen with Cool Cabins. We ended our stay unhappy and a bit disgusted and unhappy about all of the issues that we had to deal with. Sorry but very unhappy

Great Management Company

Need update

The place is some what out dated, it needs better locks on doors and windows ( didn't feel very safe) . Also the information books are needed to be updated ( they are from 2020) We did have a great stay otherwise. I did not understand the charges, and why was I charged for propane when we did not use it? They told me that is an automatic charge. Why? The barbeque is old and ready to fall apart. The back door is not safe at all, and unfinished . The couch is old and uncomfortable and smells. The place needs a facelift.

Super relaxing

This was my first solo trip and I took my dog with me. The cabin was absolutely perfect for a short getaway. It was clean, safe, and my dog absolutely loved the fenced backyard which was a nice peace of mind for me as well. Would come back for sure!

Great cabin with large yard

The Highland Hideaway was great! It is a cozy, studio-style cabin with everything you need for a weekend in Big Bear. Our dog loved playing in the snow in the fenced yard. Big Bear Cool Cabins was very helpful and communicative. They even drove by and plowed the snow in front of our driveway after we got 11 inches of snow!

Me time

I came to the mountains to have some me time after my wife passed away a few months ago! I wanted to see the Forest and the lake and the trees and I needed a place to stay while I have this experience! Cool Cabins catered to my needs! I will definitely use them again! Hideaway Retreat

Cabin was just like the picture, nice backyard for our poochies to explore. It could use new rugs and carpet. It had a strong unpleasant smell glad I had a candle to help with that. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for our stay.

Comfy cabin with a huge yard

This was the perfect little cabin for my girlfriend and two dogs. It is super close to everything in town and quiet. The yard was fantastic for our two dogs to explore and play.

Management company is a joke

The management company that runs this listing is a joke! Had us waiting to get in our cabin for over 45 minutes and then said you have to come pick up the key from our office? Then we were doubled charged and then blamed our bank. Management is a joke with zero help and terrible attitudes I would rather slip in the snow then do business with Big Bear Cool Cabins

Comfy Little Cabin

The cabin itself was rather small but comfy..clean....and the backyard was Huge...perfect for our Furbabies..Our pups absolutely loved the backyard! The only problem with the backyard was it still had a few old piles of poopoo from the previous dogs that stayed there..we cleaned up most of the old piles and we cleaned our pups too! There were a few ants inside the cabin on the Dining table..but..a little ant spray took care of that problem... Everything inside the cabin was clean and we had everything we needed...it was a great stay...

Little pet friendly gem

This was a great little place. The fenced back yard was huge and allowed my furbaby to roam safely. It was clean and close to restaurants and down town shopping. Would definitely return for a stay.

A small & quaint cabin. Easy access to main blvd. & just several miles from great walks and hikes. Quiet neighborhood. Nice for a short summer getaway. Would consider going back again.

Nice cabin

The cabin is very cute and loved the fenced backyard for my little dogs. Great place to get away and plenty of places to take your dogs for a walk. Enjoyed my stay and the cabin had everything needed.
